My hubby did this for an awesome couple right before retirement. He has held almost every position in his aviation career. Graduated from the AF Academy. Flew F-15’s and retired as Lt. Colonel after 20 years. Became Captain for large commercial airline and aged out. He then did this as a favor to a friend who was in need of a co pilot. He did this for two years and had lots of fun. Flew the family or the husband and his business associates all over the world. I would meet him at various places in the world and also had a great time. They also had a wonderful flight attendant. My hubby spent lots of time preparing for flights and safety was always “number one.”

I have a friend that was a private jet pilot for chicken man Bo Pilgram and he said he loved it. None of the stress of airline pilots. All Bo required was be ready to go within a 3 day notice. He also got invited to all the parties and eat the finest foods and stay in the finest hotels and swim in Bo's swimming pool and eat with his family in his mansion. What a way to live.

Decades ago I flew corporate for Hewlett-Packard. I loved it! I was single and loved the idea I couldn’t make very many plans to be places I really did not want to be in the first place. Weddings, funerals, graduations, that kind of stuff. Never had, nor wanted a close knit family structure. Forty years later, I still don’t…. have or want. Just my personality.

An excellent video and thank you. I will be showing this to my 14yo son who may one day wish to be a corporate pilot. I think the advice about the women waiting for "autographs" may convince him! (It's almost convinced me too...). Seriously - as once PP flying little singles, this was fascinating and I'm sure it will be also for my lad. Cheers from Sydney - Dave PS. I do often wonder what flying roles like yours will evolve to in the coming decades. Hopefully lines of code won't be taking ultimate responsibility for the safety of flying souls. Just a thought...

I partly agree; this job is for younger people. As we get older, that sharp perception of the environment and vividness of experiences tends to fade. The excitement of flights to islands and foreign countries isn’t quite the same as it used to be. Now, we seek a more stable, peaceful life.

I'm simply trying to be myself, nothing more. I've invested a lot of time, effort, and money to earn my place in the cockpit of such an airplane. Thanks for watching anyway
