Normally I have seen kids at this age are very clingy to their parents which is normal but Annika is already such a FREE SPIRIT individual. So bubbly, expressive and cute she is. Please never stop her from being a free spirit ❤
@JohannaNorth19 күн бұрын
Annika is very attached to us too and separation anxiety is a daily struggle in our family. But we do also continuously encourage independence and a can do, free spirit attitude. She’s just most comfortable practising those while we are around and near her, and we don’t entirely want to discourage her from that.

This is a wonderful kind of quality life YT has allowed for its KZbinrs. I hope it can be like this forever.. How lovely. India and Finland both are good for children, growing up pains, education, values in life and its conditioning and certain sociocultural forces acting on its communities. To get the best of both worlds would be a great combination for Annika's upbringing. Wish you and your family the very best in your future endeavours. For now, enjoy the present. Seize the moments. Plan for achieving the strategic priorities in life and work out your plan wisely. Good for you both. GOOD FOR ANNIKA and for her future. Manage your lives well. With Love from Malaysia.

Hi Johanna, great to see you all having fun in Finland; such a lovely place, light years away in tranquility from a chaotic India, a country we also both love, but certainly, not as tranquil as Finland. Anika is so boisterous and happy in Finland, I wonder if you are considering ever moving your family back to Finland? Stay healthy and happy. Hugs to all from my very own sunny 24 C° Portugal spot. ❤❤❤

Another stunning video, what a paradise! Johanna, you've enjoyed growing up in this Scandinavian paradise, with world-class education and healthcare, clean, orderly, quiet, disease-free, pollution-free environment, lush greenery, highest standard of living. Why would you not want the same childhood environment for precious Annika? Given a choice, Indian parents would gladly give an arm and a leg to raise their kids there. But they don't have a choice, you do.
@JohannaNorth18 күн бұрын
I think it's important that Annika gets to do parts of her growing up in both of her native countries, to give her a firm sense of roots in both and an identity in both cultures. And of course above all the most important thing for her is that her family, as in her mom, dad and herself, is mostly together and settling in Finland is not on option for us at this point in our life.
@turpasauna5 күн бұрын
Sadly many Nordic women do not see the beauty of these countries. They might not even speak their mothertongue to their kids; they insist it's better to grow up international than local; and so on. These women are so smart on paper, but not realize the value of their own heritage.

That spectacular view from your camper window is unparalleled ❤ I'm sure you guys have enjoyed every tiny bit of it❤especially you, Johanna. For you, "come back" home for a summer vacation must have been a mix of emotions. After all, the homeland is a sweet home where we feel belonge, loved and understood the most. Your salad plater at the restaurant would have been my favourite part. I would devour it to the last. I'm mesmerised by the designed villages in the Hanko(Finnish Swedish border), its simple but elegant wood houses, bike ride way, the lake, the rocks in the wood. That rock sediments in the woods reminded me of typical Swedish landscapes, which we get to watch in swedish films❤ You're both gifted to switching countries whenever you can. That is the upside of an international relationship. The downside is that you're way too far from your homeland and beloved ones. I believe the poor Finlad you mentioned in this video during the late 18 and initial 19 centuries has to do with war that your ancestors had to win against Russia. Such a situation would make any country poor. Annika seemd to have fun throughout the video❤
@JohannaNorth18 күн бұрын
Especially Finland's southern/western coastline has a very strong Swedish influence after about 500 years under Swedish rule. There's a lot of that same type of architecture, the towns can even have Swedish as the majority language etc... Most of Finland's old, historical towns are on the coastline, which are very beautiful and interesting places to visit! But those were also the places where Sweden's ruling elite would reside and not built for Finland's benefit per se. Finland wasn't poor because of the wars against Soviets during WWII, the big factor was that for centuries we weren't independent. First we were under Swedish rule from 1300-1800s and then 100 years under Russian rule before our independence. Both countries took advantage of Finland's resources and people as labour. Even to this day many Swedes may hold onto a stereotype of Finns more as drunkards and peasants below the Swedish elite's standards, and us Finns still see ourselves also often as the underdog against them and view Swedes as elite. At least during the Russian rule Finland got a status as an autonomous state, though we are generally much friendlier with the Swedes maybe due to the more similar cultures and the fact that we didn't fight wars against Sweden in living memory. Sorry for such a long reply but it was such an interesting topic I couldn't help myself! I could write even more, but I think it's better to focus on the beauty that we have these days and I get to share with you! :)
