A day out at Lakeside Raceway in my BRZ

First time back at Lakeside Raceway after ~12 months away from this track. Getting on track, the first few sessions were sub-par to say the least. Some pretty ordinary driving. Guess people see a Subaru BRZ and think, "it's a slow car, I must be faster".
Despite this, managed to get a new PB lap of 1:01.49 which I'm happy with, given the temperature of the day.

Yeah, a track car is a balancing act but it does need enough power to pass someone, who has been holding you up, down the straight.

Umm, it doesn't... lap times aren't always related to power.

@@lucas010888 Haven't raced at Lakeside for years but the old Datsun managed a under 60 second lap there. So I may know what I'm talking about?

@@FairladyS130 you'd think that, but here we are. If a car (me) is setting a faster lap time compared to them, then that makes me the faster car. You'd know that power does not maketh the lap time if you're getting 60s at LS. Any pleb can hit the throttle down the straight. The correct thing for them to do is to let the faster car past - as this was a Sprints event, not door to door racing.

whats mods have you done to the car?

Pretty basic mods overall, MCA Red coilovers with 7kg front and 5kg rear springs, rear LCAs, equal length headers and e85, slotted front Forza rotors, Winmax W5 pads, Mishimoto oil cooler, blitz air filter, Ray's 57CR 18x9.5 wheels, Nexen SUR4G in 255/35R18 tyres, then harness bar and Ecliptech v2 shift light.

@Andrew Lesage more power, looking at a 30-40% increase over stock. Also burns cleaner and cooler.

@@lucas010888 wow, I didn't think it would make that much difference on the stock engine. What brakes do you run?

Also is the stock ecu able to be mapped on e85?
