It’s Segedunum Wallsend , near North Shields . You get the best Fish and Chips and Crab , lobster 🦞 and kippers, also Morecambe Bay Potted Shrimps at Lindisfarne Seafoods . Well worth a visit . Also at this time of year you can get 2 4 1 on DFDS Ferries ⛴ from the Quays.

Your autumn is a lot further on than ours in Devon. We are still very green and full of leaf. I expect we are a little bit warmer down yer and it has certainly been very wet!

Yes, very wet and cooling off in Cumbria.

Hi ! Glad you enjoyed yourselves in Maryport..... we live there ! The A66 by Bassenthwaite used to just be the top part. After Dr Beeching closed the local railways in the 60s, the track was used for traffic going east. Can you imagine the narrow road you were on being 2 way !? There's a lot to see by the harbour. If you walk or drive round to the other side of the first bit of the harbour you pass the working harbour and the marina to get to another carpark ( free ) by the sea. That's worth a look too. It was a pity you couldn't see Scotland. It's only 12 miles away and you can usually see it very clearly. Oh, and the steps you walked up ( Back Brow ) were painted by J S Lowry. He was a frequent visitor here. And the most famous local residents were the Ismay family ( of the White Star Line and Titanic fame ). Let us know when you come again, we'll get the kettle on ! All the best, Pete

Hi Bob and Jenny, TVMH are about 20 minutes from Beamish Museum, where you have been previously. It’s not Newcastle at all, about 30 minutes west of the city. I watch another KZbin channel ‘golfmates’ who were given the same motorhome for a road trip earlier in the year. Not motorhome centred but it shows it quite well in their videos. He is from Chorlton-cum- Hardy which I believe is over on your side of the country.
@BobEarnshawMoHo4 жыл бұрын
Thanks, we've looked them up now. It's only 30 minutes from Durham Grange.

Jenny and Bob (not forgetting Poppy & Tara), thank you so much, I love your content which gives so much guidance about life on the road and places to visit. I really like the look of Maryport so that goes straight on the list. Yours is one of less than a handful of KZbin channels whose content I view as soon as a notification comes in. That you list all the equipment and links in every video is also a perfect example of how a channel should be. Thanks again and I await with bated breath the conclusion of this trip and also the forthcoming A Class content.

Brilliant! Absolutely loved this video, I was never that interested in history at school, but your videos do make it come alive and is fast becoming a new hobby for me. Thank you for sharing. I had a look at the Malibu in Thirsk too as it was 6.5m but wasn't sure about the single beds as got it into my head I want an island or French bed sleeping area, but on your video they looked wider than I remember so will be interested to hear how you get on. I had a good chat with Tyne Valley Motorhomes found them very helpful and informative.

Looks like an interesting little museum. You two seem to have a very busy life, how great. I work for the ambulance service and see so many retired people who hardly ever leave their house. So great to be out and about for both physical and mental health. I really must try and explore up north a bit more , as I live in Bournemouth I haven’t ventured much past the midlands. Any tips for a first northern adventure. Between shifts I often have 4-5 days for trips in the motorhome
@BobEarnshawMoHo4 жыл бұрын
Well, come to the Lake District. It is quite a way for you from Bournemouth though. I think you'd need more than 5 days though.
