Welcome back everyone. We took a day trip out to Flagstaff AZ and found a lot of mud and snow. Then someone got the Pathfinder STUCK!!! Getting stuck is just part of the adventure and technically I didn't get us stuck so...

Best way to get gear is to show how useful it can be. 😊

Some cheap traction boards might have helped.

First of all, TC on Pathfinder sucks. Believe me, I sit in it after Land Rover and there in LR - TC works much much better. In pathfinder, you will dig to the Earth core before it shows some brakes love. That's why some later versions of LR Discovery 4 were sold with no rear diff lock - they simply do not really need it. Pathfinder do need it. If you have diesel version, your rear diff is R230 (regional market difference may apply), look at ARB Air Locker RD137. For petrol version, rear diff is R200 and well there is no bolt-on solution, you should get RD196 and put some metal work on it and rear axles. Also there is cheaper Chinese version/clone of ARB lockers, they twice cheaper and users have no issues with it, but list of applicable part numbers shorten a bit.

Mocconagames, We don't have much options for our diffs since we don't have the Diesel version here. I plan on getting a front locker in the future since that is all we can get here. It looks like you know a lot about the rigs and have much experience outfitting them.

@@algeradventures4891 no i just started to dig how to buff our lovely "roadhome" with offroad options that really works. Wheels, ground clearance, diff lockers and winch.

I’ve had no issues with my tc and I do a lot of harder trails. Always surprise the jeeps, Fj owners here. I ran metal masher in Moab and hell’s revenge. It’s 2010 so maybe a programming difference? I use ceramic pads too so they can handle the constant heat braking up and down obstacles. Biggest thing with this TC is to use constant linear throttle and never touch the brakes while climbing it resets the TC. Brake force distribution keeps things in check on the way down. No where as refined as LR but it’s not on a different planet either.

@@mikehub6664 it might be programming difference, I just see how it works in this video and it performs not very well. I tried it by myself on 2006 version and of course I know you should keep constant torque for correct working, it may help if you're on diagonal surface, but it mainly help you stuck in mud or snow by long digging before it activate brakes. Like 3-4 seconds or so. It takes less than half second for LR.

@@Mocconagames yeah it does not do so well in the deep snow. Have to use low range because it changes the settings on the differential slippage to the least amount. kzbin.info/www/bejne/l2eze5t3ebCXkJY. It also Doesn’t doesn’t like opposite axles in the doesn’t like opposite axles in the air like in my video of metal masher.
