We use a lot of "Off Shore" brand mini boards to troll Lakes Michigan and Huron for ice out lake trout, steelhead, coho, Atlantic, and king salmon. Trolling in 10-15' of water. Right along the beaches. These fish are shallow, feeding on smelt and emerald spinners. The coho salmon fishing is crazy, awesome out of St. Joseph Port, Lake Michigan in March and April. Lake Huron has similar great fish after ice out for coho and Atlantic salmon along with steelhead and Lake Trout. King salmon on Lake huron is less common due to our DNR replacing the king plants for Atlantic salmon plants. Atlantic salmon are opportunistic feeders and put less stress on the smelt and alewive forage base. Great video, thanks for sharing 👍 😮😊

It’s actually not a how to video. Just a fun day of fishing being filmed. I blurred out the tackle as a joke for the guys in the boat. If you watch my videos I’m generally very open about how I’m catching fish. You can see the tackle all throughout the video. Just a series of spinners. You can hire Matt as a guide and he can show you all the techniques to catch trout in this video.
