Dee another awesome video. I know of the Maroons that fought the British and there was a woman from Africa that was very powerful that help in fighting the British. Maroon town is in St Elizabeth. My grandfather brother has property near the mountain where they are. They hold celebrations etc and I believe many Tourist visit the area. However, Mr Lewis did give you some knowledge that you are not black and he is correct. There is alot our people are not aware of. Colonialism has kept our people down, not knowing who they really are. We are Gods yes the bible tells us you are made in the image and likeness of the Divine. There are videos on youtube that can do some of the same explaining and more of what Mr Lewis was telling you. Brown/Maroon people have to become conscious and be proud of who we are. If you need books on this subject and videos let me know. Also it would be nice to do another Video with Mr. Lewis he is knowledgable, conscious and aware of who he is. Enjoy Jamaica you will return to Africa a more conscious woman with the tools and knowledge to share with our brothers and sisters. God never make a mistake this trip was a God sent. Dat is it. I have always questioned why we are called Black, when our skin are so many different shades of brown. I hope the younger generation will steer their kids in identifying themselves as brown/maroon.
