Overall, It's a good device considering the price. The community is working on a specific CFW that will allow Retroarch and other enhancements. I personally love this device!

I actually have an x7 on the way from china now. Apparently they run the same software and play the same games. They look the same, but have different hardware inside. They perform similarly. You can read more about it here: bootleggames.fandom.com/wiki/X_series_of_portable_game_consoles I think the x7 review should be done within two weeks (as soon as I receive the package), but now when you order an x12 on aliexpress, they say x7/x12+, so you are never sure which hardware revision you will get. I will go ahead and say that I would personally just save up an go for the $46 R36s. It can do DS, PSP, n64, PS1, and Dreamcast also, in addition to other retro systems, like PC Engine. I just posted a new review of it. I am a collector though, so it is fun for me to look through the terrible systems. Plus, If they have been around long enough, you can find them for $5 - $10.

You did the right thing spending a few more dollars and ordering it from Amazon, even if it was a little higher. If something goes wrong (like yours did), Amazon has a great return policy. You'd be lucky you even get a response from these Chinese companies that are in CHINA!

It takes about 14 days according to the site, but I always get mine around day 10 from Aliexpress.
