I’m sure the James Bond thing in N64 was because it’s said he was planned to be in Smash 64, but didn’t because of copyright issues. As well, it may be that the motion sensor bomb, at least in Melee, came from James Bond, but that’s even less sure.

James Bond was big on a popularity poll from Smash 64's release. He was considered for Melee but cut due to actor and licensing rights, as well as probably being expensive as fuck. The motion sensor bomb in the NA version of Melee actually is based on Goldeneye. However in Japan it's the Perfect Dark one like the cloaking device everywhere.

No joke, last night I dreamed I was playing some version of Smash and unlocked a fully live-action, FMV "top-secret cutscene" depicting a pile of figurines of the entire Ultimate roster (and probably a few other characters) on a cluttered desk in a dimly-lit room. Theory I always had is that the reason the kremlings were not in brawl is because they were going to be in DK's area originally, but rayquaza and bowser were chosen for boss instead as k rool's dkc bossfights would be absurdly hard with smash controls, along with how cannonballs would work. (Which I think is why you can pick up his crown instead in ultimate.) they would be difficult to faithfully translate. My basis for this is that rayquaza employs similar tactics in his fight to some of k rool's fights, ( zooming across the screen, shootin a ball at you, going high into the air, going out of sight to reappear near the player, etc) and the direct inclusion of his theme, which is named in the game after him, not the level it's on.

A few problems I found with the video: 4:22 Piranha plant is considered a dlc fighter on smash’s official website not a base game fighter (Sorce: www.smashbros.com/en_US/fighter/index.html) 5:18 Greninja's down taunt can kill opponents at a high enough percent or in a special mode like the one you are showing on screen (Sorce: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mXmaeneHlJ2pn8U) 8:16 According to the smash wiki Iwata said the reason why brawl was delayed is in order to fine tune it, not because of sonic. (Sorce: www.ssbwiki.com/Super_Smash_Bros._Brawl) 10:05 It is actually not known whose cat this is (Sorce: www.ssbwiki.com/Pok%C3%A9mon_Stadium_2) 12:44 While it is unlikely that this leak is real it is still technically not deconfirmed

One entry that's pretty obscure and could in my opinion be added to the list is T-MAN's character distortion glitch that was happening to him in Smash for Wii U. These were pretty big in the Wii U era and the glitched characters were pretty creepy. It's pretty obscure rn cause most of the stuff he posted about this glitch where on his miiverse (but thankfully some of the stuff is also on youtube) and since miiverse discontinued, some of the stuff have been lost. I think his Wii U actually being broken was what caused the glitch. One bit of trivia unmentioned on this iceberg is relating to one of Pit's alternate costumes from brawl. His black and purple costume, dubbed Fallen Angel by fans of Smash, Bros became the inspiration for Dark Pit as a whole in Kid Icarus Uprising. If this was on the iceberg I'd put it somewhere in the middle, since it's fairly well know, but not as much as a few other things.

That's why I said "except piranha plant in ultimate" as he is the only dlc with a palutena's guidence conversations 2.) you're also right, the ps2 poster most likely isn't a picture of his cat exactly, but the entry itself is referring to the poster on ps2, and the breeds are similar to the point where i though it was

Tbh it's your explanation of "Roy isca smash original character" is quite surface level, while him being in melee before his game came out is important to this theory too its not that makes him feel smash original, the way roy moves and expresses himself in smash bros is very different from how he's actually portraid in his game, making him feel almost like a completely original character, i like to this that, since his smash appearance takes from after his game's end, he just became more confident, but that's just my own headcanon
