10:25 - Did y'all know that SEGA originally refused to have Sonic in the game? This is why most of his moves are a ball and why he's barely in Subspace... Thanks SEGA. This happened because in earlier years, Nintendo repeatedly denied a Mario+Sonic crossover, but when the Mario & Sonic Olympics were greenlit, then SEGA changed their minds about Brawl.

Now why did Nintendo reject SEGA's request? Repeatedly no less! Well, it's because Nintendo didn't see how having Mario and Sonic in the same game would complement each other, which I do have to agree with. But when SEGA pitched the Olympics, Nintendo did see how the game would benefit from having both series, because the Olympics are all about bringing people from all over the world to show off their abilities in a competition, so having a crossover does* add to that idea.

Cool vid! Fun fact: Not just the assist trophies of Kirby are from GCN, but even some trophies like the Golem. Dedede's jet hammer is a model from Kirby GCN, there is even a piece of concept art for Kirby GCN of King Dedede holding the jet hammer.
