The comic that the person linked is a snippet from Brawl in the Family, a webcomic about the Smash cast that ran from 2008 to 2014 (oddly enough, the final strip in the series released the same day that Smash 3DS released in the U.S.) The main focus is on the Kirby cast though, as many of the strips from the early years focus on Kirby and his various antics with the Copy ability, as well as his relationships with Dedede, Meta Knight, Waddle Dee, and Adeline. Many other Smash characters make regular appearances in the comics, and there are even various crossover relationships that happen, such as Captain Falcon and Samus regularly dating, or Kirby dating Jigglypuff, or Kirby and Diddy Kong becoming best friends. The comic had quite a few story arcs as well, which imo were easily the best part of the webcomic. That brings us to the snippet in the video. It comes from an arc called Cocoon Academy, which delves into a theoretical school where many video game characters train to become heroes. It focuses on Dedede as a child, who at the time was reserved, nervous, and unconfident. Thanks to his teacher Ganondorf, he gained the skills and courage of a leader and helped other students to fight the invasion of Dark Matter. Dark Matter corrupted Master Hand (the headmaster of Cocoon Academy) and made him a lefty instead. Now you know.

Love your videos man. But I caught a few more examples for that special victory screens entry on the iceberg Lucina and robin both have some special dialogue in smash ultimate. When Lucina wins against marth or ike in a battle, she will say, “so this is the hero king?” for marth, and “and they call you the radiant hero?” For ike. In robin’s case, if they win against Lucina, male robin will say something along the lines of “I hope I didn’t hurt you,” and female robin will say, “how can you protect chrom if you can’t protect yourself?” This isn’t any criticism or complaining, I just thought I’d share those with you :)

I have to say these were very nice videos! I have seen some Smash icebergs before but they were more about the competitive/community side of things, rather than stuff actually in the games. This is much more interesting IMO.

About the Smash 4 Dr. Mario stage, while the leak was fake, there IS data in Smash for Wii U relating to the Virus enemies as stage bosses, suggesting a real one was planned at some point.

Something neat about the Metroid assist trophy in Ultimate is that it's different in the final game than in earlier footage like at 3:06 When it's hit by ice in the final game, it turns blue like the Metroid games but in earlier builds it just got the ice effect like a fighter

Just some fun facts about dedede in smash (wich are in my opinion iceberg worthy). 1. I am not shure about this one, but dedede was planned to be in melee. 2. Some of you might already noticed, but in the subspace emesarry all the characters would have been lost if dedede didn’t put the golden baches on luigi, peach and ness. He might even knew the whole thing with caboo and the blackhole bombs was going to happen. (Sorry for bad english and misspellings)

4:25 I saw this happen in ultimate when I chose to play as a mii skinned link,and set the other three players to the other versions of link. Toon link is the one who’s skin was taken off. I think it’s a glitch honestly.

The reason why Petey Piranha had animations in Smash 4's files was because they were probably just leftovers from Brawl, similar how characters still have gliding animations.

Long comment, TL:DR: This video is great! I recommend to add "Smash is to promote other Nintendo products" and "What is inside a Smash Invitation envelope?" Very well made, Antimony!! I would add two theories tho: First one is "Smash bros is a promotional tool for other nintendo games" as shown with Byleth, Min Min and Pyra, as even another channel, Video game story time, made fun of it, they held a cardboard sign "Buy our game! We do not want to end up like Capitain Falcon and F-Zero!" Another one worth mentioning: "What is inside a smash invitation"? My head canon is that whatever it is, it is a key to access the "Smash World". Some fan made comic outlets even theorized about it... But also, there are FAKE smash invitations on channels like "Blocked Content" all it takes is to look at the thumbnails and you can see many, many thumbnails of Crash Bandicoot holding or grabbing A FAKE INVITATION! What's the meaning of this? Is it worth investigating? SOrry for long comment.

I think Crazy Hand being the Left Hand refers to the Left Hand Path in mysticism/magic type stuff. Left Hand being the more evil and occult, while the Right Hand Path is more focused on spirituality and overall good.

@@antimony986 I played Smash almost every day since the Smash was borrowed from my friend and I knew I wouldn't have it for long. A couple of days later, he asked me, but I wanted to continue playing the game, so I raised money to buy it but since I didn't have much, I bought the game in a used goods store, so to speak. I'm one of those who doesn't like to buy pirate things but my Wii was pirated by my brother anyway. fter buying it I went to my house to play it, I realized that the cover was all peeled and had Super Smash CRUEL Brawl written, I was shocked to see such a thing, but I thought that the previous owner was a child with a twisted mind who likes to do this type of thing. I started playing it taking advantage of the fact that it was Friday and there were no classes after the afternoon. I spent the game in a day, everything was as I remembered it. When I unlocked the last character, Wolf, I beat him as I expected, but when I beat him, an alert came out that a new character had appeared. I said to myself: -But how is it possible? If I already unlocked everyone- I didn't think about it much and I started playing again, the game put me in a very strange fighting area, it was night, with the floor of Luigi's mansion, it was the size of the Destination end area. The background music was nothing more than the sound of the wind. The character I was facing was a Link with a very disgusting appearance, he looked like a zombie with worms through his flesh, his armor was rusty, his suit was half broken he had an eye hanging and his skin dead. What scared me the most is that I was using Link. With the chills I had I started fighting thinking that this was a simple hack to scare others away. The strange thing was that when you hit it it sounded like you knead raw meat. His blows hurt me a lot, like 20 times more, no matter how much he hit me, even if he pushed me a little. At the first minute of the fight, he had 956% damage, he only 209%. No matter how far he sent him, he returned with jumps too big. I hadn't even pushed myself off the platform when I reached 999% damage, the other Link gave me one last blow. The game did like when you lose in a health point fight, but how did this happen if I played in a percentage fight? When I beat myself, "Game set" didn't appear... Nothing appeared, just "DEAD", that is Dead! I was nauseated to see that the other Link started eating my Link. The game returned me to the home screen. Where was the Super Smash sign. I went in again, but this time I started playing a friendly fight. As my brother went out, I stayed all weekend alone. I tried to choose Link, but I got something like a mistake and a black smash ball appeared. From there I couldn't choose Link. I decided to play with Wolf and again it came out that a new character had appeared. I appeared in the same place but this time a dead Wolf appeared, just seeing him, disgusted me, it was a sick thing, it was more disgusting than Link, with guts coming out of him. This time I was more careful, and although it took me more than 4 minutes, I managed to beat it and a gloomy sound came out with a message saying "You have unlocked CRUEL". Cruel? When I fought, I took the same body as my character. Then I got another message saying "You have unlocked ALL the characters". I found the message strange, but by now I didn't care anymore. When I started again, the random box was replaced by Cruel, its image was the same smash symbol as Link had but with a dark brightness in the background, I was curious and I chose Cruel for a battle. I will regret that decision forever.Since the random option no longer appeared, I fought with the first character he gave me, which was Luigi. I chose a random world and started playing with Luigi. I realized that Cruel was great, made very big jumps and took a lot of life. When I take 999% of damage from Luigi, I hit him one last. Luigi fainted and Cruel began to eat Luigi. This time Luigi was heard screaming and crying in pain. I decided to put the mute until it ended, although I disliked how Cruel ended up with my adversary. I preferred to use it. After beating Luigi, Jigglypuff, Mario and donkey kong, I decided not to play with Cruel anymore, but it was too late to say that. I realized that Link was selectable again. When I chose it, I no longer put the bar ready for the fight. I tried to play another fighting mode but it was the same, the characters killed by Cruel were not selectable, and that black rotten ball appeared. If I chose another character, he wouldn't let me play. Only with Cruel. I wanted to erase the data, but it was impossible. A message appeared that said: "You have to end Cruel", I had to beat them all with him, and I had to mute the parts of when he ate them because he just couldn't stand it. When I beat the last character, the game hung for about 5 seconds. Then the screen turned black for another 30 seconds. After that all the rotten characters appeared with red eyes and looking at me. After those terrifying seconds, a text appeared under the screen saying: YOU KILLED US, NOW WE WILL COMETING YOU PART BY PIECE EVERY ONE OF US.ended up losing. When losing, "DEAD" or anything at all appeared. Luigi approached and began to eat me. It sounded like you chewing with your mouth open, but louder and disgusting. I don't know how the game could do such a thing, to the point of controlling the volume of my TV. Then he suddenly sent me to final "destination" with the noise of the wind and the most serious music. Jigglypuff at the other end and ready to fight, just like Luigi was in bad condition, more rotten. I had some scratches, I was more hurt. I lost and they ate me again, I couldn't take it anymore and threw up. I felt terrible. I fought with Mario. I realized that I was in the same order that I fought with them with Cruel the first time.
