For me, seeing the magic of S4 fade to the (disastrous) results of BWBA is… heartbreaking, to say the least. I was sad to see Thomas’s stupid reboot. Edit: why did this get so much likes
@modelrailfan3710 ай бұрын
So I just posted this elsewhere, but I don’t know if anyone will see my comment know since there are already over 100 comments on this video at the time of posting… I actually know how this got online. Before BWBA came out, the music video “Free and Easy” was upload to the official Ttte KZbin channel, and it had THAT scene attached to it. I have no way of proving this other than my own word, as the movie had not come out yet when the song was released on the channel, so I didn’t screen record it or anything like that. The strangest thing was though (if my memory serves correct) is that the music video was released only a few weeks BEFORE the movie came out. So basically the movie was for all intensive purposes completed, and NOBODY THOUGHT THIS SCENE WAS RACIST OR OFFENSIVE!?! We may never know what the h*** is wrong with Mattel, BWBA was a terrible movie to begin with and was full of stereotypes and other stuff that really made me wonder WHY Mattel were making a movie FOR KIDS that was meant to represent diversity and equality. If the way you are going to show diversity and equality is being racist and offensive, then don’t do it, anyone would think that a multi-million dollar company that heavily focuses on that factor would know better than that, and I find that deleted scene absolutely disgusting. Does anyone have evidence of this being uploaded to the official TTTE channel? I hate the scene, but it does prove that Mattel are incapable and honestly, I’d be shocked if Mattel couldn’t get finned for that one… not that I have intentions to take a multi-million-dollar company to court…

A classic Unlucky Tug video concept! I was surprised not to see Down the Mine get a mention with the reused pilot footage, but I guess that doesn't really count as a deleted scene. 54:20 I like to think Emily is cheerleading Salty and Fergus on, after they came home, probably as a way of paying off her charcater beat from earlier in the episode. Honestly wish they left that in! A solid Emily scene. As for the deleted BWBA scene, the scene was ACTUALLY shown at the BWBA world premire (as Thomas fans were at it claimed, The Railway Inspector I think?) As for how it leaked on line, what happened was the song "Free And Easy" was put on KZbin before BWBA came out, but no joke, after the backlash from the fandom on Twitter and KZbin about the Carlos scene, they took down the Free and Easy video but fans had it saved, and why we still have it today. (This was when you were on your 2018 hiatus I think). The scene was later removed when being released, all thanks to the nagging of the Thomas fandom!

The Harvey To The Rescue Night scene is actually quite easy to explain If you look at the film slate, it has both a smile and frown drawn onto it, and all the engines that were filmed line up with the characters that insult Harvey in the earlier Tidmouth scene that was set at dawn It's very likely that the "Harvey insult scene" was originally meant to be filmed alongside the ending scene hence the emotions on the film slate to let the crew know it was meant to be filmed two times They likely changed it to the dawn version of the scene in the final product cause having both scenes with the exact same camera angles and the engines lined up the same was seen as either too "lazy" or didn't product the result Mitton wanted.
@billyjudd33268 ай бұрын
I still believe that The "Harvey insult at night scene" was to take place after Harvey arrives on Sodor.
@imrandarr10946 ай бұрын
@@billyjudd3326 Or maybe that scene takes place after Harvey’s rescue where the engines (minus Thomas, Edward and Percy) are still insulting Harvey for how he looks, and then Percy stands up to Harvey and tells him how Harvey rescued him from his accident. * I believe the "deleted scene" from Percy Takes The Plunge is actually for books - most kids books of the TVS version of the episode likely cut out the Henry scene cause it's not really important, and the ending is instead Thomas making fun of Percy * This is probably true for a couple other episodes too, but I think it's most obvious here that the intent was just for books, since we do know in Season 3 they took photos for kids books of Thomas' Train so it wouldn't be exclusive to this episode

"Why did they re-stage the scene in a different location in Gordon & The Famous Engine?" 2 main theories: 1) Season 3 was split up into 2 different blocks of filming. If the episode was filmed in the first block and they were told they needed the stills when they were filming the second block, it would have been MUCH easier to stage the shot in a new location than completely rebuild that part of the set 2) The shot was originally filmed in the station, but they wanted a more sweeping shot, which was more of Season 3's style.

Don’t think the Missing Coach would’ve been too confusing at all. Yet, I did find Percy Takes The Plunge to be extremely confusing because it was like Percy made up a lie about braving water and keeping his promise when I was a child. Even to this very day, it’s completely ridiculous how they put Percy’s Promise into season 3 long after Percy Takes The Plunge. Now that’s more confusing than The Missing Coach and those still alive need to know it. Also, Diesel reappeared in the Christmas episode in season two despite being sent away. I get why Daisy wasn’t there because she shared the same face as Boco. It’s sad they didn’t make an extra face because episodes of Boco and Daisy together would’ve ideal because we didn’t see Daisy until season 3 after Percy’s Predicament. It would’ve been more interesting if they made another episode about Daisy whilst Percy was away being mended before introducing Boco. Boco would’ve been the perfect mentor to Daisy because he was a kind Diesel engine and showed respect for all. I think the episode Bullseye was also meant to be a season 2 episode because it Percy’s Predicament, the narrator states Daisy was frightened of bulls and Cows and remained very lazy and stubborn. Just watch those episodes and you will understand why I believe that because it fits perfectly.

Tbf, they did intend to film Percy’s Promise as part of season two, alongside Double Header and Gordon Goes Foreign. It was cut due to them not knowing how to make the flood scenes work, as early scripts show, since they weren’t used to live water for the show yet and were worried about damaging Percy’s model by having his chassis fully submerged

I'm really pleased to see the 2003 Thomas Story Library books getting some recognition again, they meant so much to me growing up. The fact it was a hybrid series combining both the RWS & TV Show is what made them so fun to read.

I think the shot of Murdoch pulling a goods train through the set for "Gordon and Spencer" was an inspiration to how @theburiedtruck wrote his story, "Murdoch's whistle". 😂😂😂

Awesome vid as usual! I've been meaning to say this to you, and that is: thank you SO much! Because you're the reason why I got back into the Thomas franchise (my childhood! ❤) and my love for both trains and Thomas ever since I found your channel. It made me realize how much I missed Thomas, both figuratively and literally, so much. And I absolutely love your content. Keep it up!

After reviewing the deleted scene from The Green Controller, I have a theory for why it was cut. Percy being in charge and causing a 3-engine pileup in the process (starting with 2 colliding and Toby colliding afterwards) probably made it too similar to Emily Knows Best, which also had a character cause a 3-engine pileup by being in charge and involving Toby in the crash.

With regards to the reshot scenes from Trouble with Mud, specifically the blue sky, it was briefly mentioned in the narration about the weather: "Earlier, a storm had racked Gordon's Hill, blowing leaves on to the track. Even though the storm had passed, the hill was still difficult to climb,"
@charimew280810 ай бұрын
1. I'm pretty sure the Duck image was always mentioned to be stationary. 2. There are photos of Gordon pulling trucks up the hill in The Trouble with Mud 3. Idk if this is an actual shot or a promo pic, but Thomas and Gordon travel through an unused set during Paint Pots and Queens 4. What about that one shot of Oliver by the shore in Season 5 looking sad? It appeared in a book retelling Busy Going Backwards, which geographically makes no sense, and unlike the Season 4 promo pics there's only one character 5. The Haunted Henry scene with Gordon was adapted in My Thomas Story Library but with Thomas 6. The Spencer one would make a lot more sense if there were an alternate take of Spencer coming in the opposite direction 7. Not related to deleted scenes, but I'm convinced the Emily subplot in Salty's Stormy Tale was a last-minute add-on, because it was filmed after Bill, Ben and Fergus when Fergus' flywheel broke, and we see very little of the actual flywheel in the final episode 8. Do you think the rain scene from Ode to Gordon was originally intended for an episode (Don't Tell Thomas?), or specially shot footage?

1: I think Lee Pressman filmed The scene with Thomas, Percy and Harvey for “Three Cheers For Thomas” as part of the original script before he had to make changes. 2: I think the scene with Harvey bringing the second load of timber to the Flour mill in “Toby’s Windmill” implies that his role was meant to be bigger. 3: There was an extended scene of Arthur and Percy passing each other at Maithwaite in “Something Fishy”.

16:53 I agree that this most likely is from Woolly Bear, but also I think that could be Duck Takes Charge, before Percy tells the Fat Controller that he is tired, or perhaps before he says "That stupid old signal". However, the maybe treacle marks tells that should be Woolly Bear, adding the fact that when Percy meets the Fat Controller in DKT, he is clean. 33:24 I think that this scene exactly the same that the one where all the engines 'peep', because it shows Gordon facing north, still not being turned around for the return journey. This means that probably the scene where Gordon is leaving Knapford was recorded for the ending, but was cut as the narration changed to a more general of the engines being proud and happy

40:44 "Botheration!", said the Fat Controller. "We're stuck!" And they were. This scene makes me laugh for two reasons. One: Michael Angelis (RIP), the UK narrator, saying "Botheration!"; and two: the still shot of Sir Topham Hatt leaning over the controls of the boat, upset that the vessel is stuck on a mud bank.

My favorite deleted scenes come from seasons 5 and 7 as they're the most interesting, the same goes for alternate angles as well. Also I think the deleted scenes with Harvey are actually the night before Percy's accident and they probably filmed that entire sequence at night but then decided to switch it to evening instead. Either way this is quite a lovely video. Who knows maybe taking a look at all the alternate angles of shots could be another video of its own. Once again great work Nic keep up the good work and congratulations on your marriage!

With the photo of muddy Percy, I wonder if maybe they originally shot another scene in place of the one where Henry asks Percy if he liked he water. Maybe it was an alternate take where a muddy Percy went up to Thomas as they looked at the sign and had a similar conversation to what they'd had at the beginning or Thomas was given Henry's lines? That's one thought I'd had.

The deleted scene from BWBA with Ace and Carlos surfaced online when the official channel uploaded a music video of Free and Easy. After like a day or two the video was taken down and when it was reuploaded later, the scene was removed.

17:26 this shot of Percy is probably after he's covered in hay and getting it cleaned off of him - there's a ladder to the side and what looks like hay on the ground. This would also fix the order of passing through the hay field before arriving at the station.

I think the concept of the scene with the muddy Percy and Thomas was that he was pulled outalong the rails, not with a crane. Someone mentioned (and is probably right about) it most likely being for a book version, which kinda makes sense, because when too many scenes and visual changes are happening in a short span of time, it can be hard for very young children to put together, especially if they aren't good or are unable to read.

My theory about the Percy Takes The Plunge scene is that it's an alternate version of the ending. Percy was supposed to be pulled out by one of the other engines, similar to Gordon in Off The Rails, and Thomas is there to say "I told you so" to end the episode.
@ShiningTimeStudios47510 ай бұрын
There was also an extended shot of Spencer passing by Gordon and Thomas. But in the shot, we see Thomas not being amused and being annoyed at Spencer's gloating. That would've given us some extra spice on to how much Spencer has been gloating. I would've loved to hear Thomas say something like, "Big Silver Showoff." 😂😂😂😂

Love this video. However, I believe there are a few things that could be acknowledged. The scene of Thomas & Gordon at Tidmouth sheds in "Squeak, Rattle & Roll". Had this scene have occurred in the episode, Series 8 would have been the 1st series to feature Thomas in every episode. There's also the broken windmill after the storm in "Calling All Engines".

There was a deleted scene with Oliver and Stepney passing each other while crossing the viaduct in Edward The Very Useful Engine. It was then reused in the Little Engines music video. Other than that really good video Nick 😊

I wonder if these count as deleted scenes or perhaps just renders made for promotional stills, but Season 20 has 2 images that appear in the Encyclopedia book, but not the episodes themselves: one from Henry Gets the Express that shows Henry passing an annoyed Gordon side by side, and another from Bradford the Brakevan that shows Bradford yelling at a backwards-facing truck directly behind Thomas. The truck is filled with coal, instead of being empty.

The "Thomas and the Guard" shot probably got reshot because Thomas stopped too abruptly. In the other recorded take he slows much more gradually, but in the other take he stops on a dime.

I think a deleted scene you should’ve mentioned is this one of Ned from Jack Jumps In. I find it significant because he's the only character that appeared in that episode not to have any dialogue, and yet apparently he was intended to have an entire scene to himself.
