Theres always one character in every fandom that gets unfairly hated and i will never fully understand why. Bad choices dont always equal a bad person.

Real and it makes me upset cuz like a majority of ppl are willing to forgive Catra for it, who has been doing it the whole series? But not glimmer.

I do agree that Glimmer is overall a good person. She just made bad decisions, particularly during season 4, and mainly due to losing her mother and being thrust into a leadership role she wasn't entirely ready for. She's flawed and made mistakes, but Glimmer was able to recognize her own mistakes and did make things right in the end. While I don't like some of the bad choices she made in season 4, particularly when she blamed Adora for what happened to Angella in a moment of anger, along with making the rash decision of trying to use the heart of Etheria, I still ultimately like Glimmer as a character.

See. I definitely agree with this because she definitely isn’t perfect but I still love her because like… she’s so much like me. She makes rash decisions and ends up regretting those things but it doesn’t mean she’s a bad person. She’s just a person who has issues and it just makes her feel so real to me. I think Glimmer is a fair representation of what a child soldier with ptsd sprinkles would be.

@@viperizer0 When we do stories we tend to be forward looking from the start of it, and we rarely take a moment to look at the starting point and look back. But Glitter does have that aggressiveness in problem solving that you expect from people who grew up with high amounts of life or death trauma. Because they end up towing the line between wanting to win and survive and just wanting it over.

Thanks for talkin about glimmer. I never understood the hate that she got. I truly believe that doing unexcusable things doesn't make people unredeemable. Speaking of characters that have done unexcusable things. Charlemagne from Kippo would be a good video. I rarely see people talk about his character in much depth.

people often forget that SW is a master manipulator, glimmer was at her lowest and SW knew EXACTLY what buttons to press, i find it sooo aggravating when people blame her for SW's manipulation forgetting she's the VICTIM here

It’s kind of funny because like it’s a war. People either love her or don’t mind her… or they absolutely hate her and will do everything to decimate her. Maybe it’s called down a bit since the show ran… but whoo… it used to be bad.

Well, she can't be as bad as the entirety of Batman's and P5 Joker's rogues gallery, along with Omori/Sunny and Basil for covering up Omori's dead sister's accident along with other characters who's made some mistakes or came from unfortunate circumstances. Oh wait, people think she's a bad character? What? That's weird, but I guess when you have 100% percent of an internet, you're going to get 55% critics.

Yeah, I’ve heard a lot of people bash on her. At least when the show was originally coming out. It always made me upset because Catra was literally doing worse the whole series but Glimmer made some mistakes and had an attitude… and suddenly she’s the worst thing to come across the series. I think people just don’t like her in general tbh.
