I'm new at bass fishing in my second year but watching the biffle bug can't wait to fish it.

Great warm water stuff right there Ryan! Kick'n that bottom up just incites bass. We used to catch Craw bare handed when I was a kid, always amazed at how quickly they scamper the bottom! They know they're delicious and something's always after them...lol When fish aren't willing to chase in cold water months I stick to my 79 cent jika/jig rig tho. I throw it into some pretty gaming places without worrying about losing a 5 spot. Most of the time the only thing that doesn't come back out of the rocks is the drop style wire weight, still got my hook and plastic. This is also my alternative to the Carolina rig except when I want to throw and retrive something big with a pop-pop and a nice dart with a slow float down.

Thanks Ryan. I really enjoy your tutorials and can relate to the tactics you use after fishing in NYS for over 50 years. That has to be the best crayfish imitation footage I've seen. That's an amazing setup you have! 👍
@Wired2Fish6 жыл бұрын
Appreciate it Joe, it's a fun system that the fish aren't as accustomed too up here. Filming UWs of the rig as fun and insightful -- really drives home that crawfish connection. Not sure if you saw this video, solely focused on the lure underwater (sound is a factor too!): kzbin.info/www/bejne/r5nXkp5pfdR9d5o

Wired2Fish Freaking awesome man! Just watched it. That head is a real "knocker", (is that low frequency?) and the bait has so many parts that move and probably provide more sound frequencies, it's really a combo of the best features of a few other baits too. If that was you working the bait kudos man. Really, I can see a lot of options on working it now. I've always tested how a lure or live bait looks when manipulated in the water, it's not always easy to see. You really blew me away, thanks Ryan. Now I have to watch the paddle tail version. Thanks again 👍😎

Is this flat or Sandy bottom lake? I like the biffle bug and swing head but we have a lot of lakes here with muck on the bottom. I don’t think it works is good with Muck on the bottom to a flat bottom, pond or lake. Another option is to pop it up and down but it’s not like gliding it on the bottom What’s your opinion?

Also what size is the gene larew bug? Thanks again
@Wired2Fish2 жыл бұрын
Hi Sadeth, it's the 4.25'' model, our go-to for largemouth bass. We'll use the smaller 3.5'' when targeting smallmouth bass.

Awesome! I just got a 10 pack of these jigs, but I haven't fished it yet. How many would you say you go through in a year?
@Wired2Fish6 жыл бұрын
A 10 pk is a good start depending on the preferred head weight. The 11/16 is my favorite for overall versatility -- I probably go through 8-10 between June and Oct. A few inevitably to snags and toothy pike where I live. -Ryan

This is a great video! I am going to try this in the spring. Can I ask what color Biffle Bug you are using or what color I should use for clear lakes. Thank You once again.
@Wired2Fish6 жыл бұрын
Hi Alex, thanks for watching. The primary color used in this vid is Green Pumpkin Candy (wired2.fish/BiffleBug). In general, you can never go wrong with Green Pumpkin or variations of it in clear water. Best of luck to you! -Ryan

Yes it will... just have to make a few small adjustments, slightly smaller profile bait and depending on the depth your fishing a little bit lighter jig did the trick for me on catching small mouth

Hi Julian, it works well through sparse grass but not through mid to heavy stuff or weed types that adhere to baits.

It's something your born with I guess. You could start by not telling people to look at the bend in your rod. I think your screwed tho. I'm sure there is a KZbin video on how to look cool. Try that. That little bug does look good running across the bottom. I like that. Gunna have to check it out. Thanks for the info dork.😉

AdamSeattle is that why I'm so bad at fishing? I'm gunna have to watch more Pokemon or play pogs or something. You know, to make me a better fisherman.
@reevevolver49526 жыл бұрын
Wired2Fish try watching reruns of Happy Days. The Fonz and Chachi are the cool ones. Richie, Potsey and the other dude are the dorks. So it's obvious if you want to be cool get yourself a leather jacket and every time you catch a fish you say 'Aaaaaaaa'
