This was picturised as child's play. But in reality, it is one of the best conversations. Hinduism, known for its questioning, nachiketa does that exactly. He questions God of death himself(where everyone trembled with fear just to glance at him). He actually asks Yama what happens after death. Yama explains about rebirth, different types of punishments that soul (which will be trapped in a very small body (size of thumb) which will enhance the pain and suffering)) goes through and how rebirth happens based on previous lifes karma, meaning of life etc. It is great to read original text in native language. So many great things are lost in translation.

In our Abrahamic religions, we have book of revelations from the God of Abraham, the only true God. Questions are not needed. If the book says so, it is gospel truth. Questions lead to doubt and blasphemy.

I am surprised to see that you got this one. The main essence of this Upanishad is in helping an individual to choose what is right for us. Many times, we are presented with at least two choices - one that we like(Priyam) and one that is good(Shriyam) for us. The rest of the discussion helps to identify the option that offers long term good.

I don't think so that she's contributed anything to Indian philosophy, but I appreciate that she make herself and let others too know about this knowledge. I appreciate that you are encouraging others saying some appreciating words, but it doesn't mean you have to exaggerate anything or everything that foreigners act or react to our culture. coz our culture is more larger than ourselves and foreigners, so I didn't see anything like contributing from her to Indian or Sanatan philosophy.

Something that most Indian children are taught at young age ...... Atman or soul is the essence of a person.... The atman is judged based on its karma or deeds at the time of death .... The atman's deeds, whether good or bad, determine its future birth ... You pay for your sins in this lifetime, if not then definitely in the next .....
@gods-best-friend-gbf
@gods-best-friend-gbf 6 күн бұрын
They teach children that birth is due to Karma in the soul. But repeat the same mistake as marrying and bringing children into this world so the new souls go through all the pain and suffering and then brings more souls to punish them too and so on... This is why Kali Yuga is inescapable for 99.99999% humans.

But now I am proud of my culture more when I understand that it allows questions and there are many literatures and philosophical texts..through yr journey I am also understanding my own religion..But one thing I could gather is like moulding of plastic and metals intelligently can create robot to serve humanity or in future to empower humanity..the power of recognition of God by spiritual beings can create some powerful Godly beings which can help and guide human..and when Yam says even God does not know…then its obvious..that God and creation has to be part of one continuous system one merging into other or coming in and out from ONE..like concept of Brahman😊😊😊

interestingly this "AUM" is the perceptible vibration of "creation" !. ( The Big Bang that created the universe was silent, as sound requires matter and gravity to exist. However, there are simulations and projects that attempt to recreate the sound of the Big Bang ; This project sonifies the first 760,000 years of the universe's existence into a deep, throbbing rumble. The sound frequencies in the simulation are scaled up by a huge factor to match the human ear's response. ) ; Now see this : "kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z4DTf3xrec-reZI" amazing !!😊🙏

I feel it's not well portrayed enough in this video. I read this story as part of Amar Chitra Katha's comics when I was around 13-14 and it was quite a read.

Soul still attached to Earth can't be fully integrated into the realm of Spirit. Shambala Sanskrit place of peace quietness say to you brethren Flesh and Blood can not inherit the kingdom of God, neither do corruption inherit incorruption.

Vedas n Upanishads are the encyclopedia of ur arising questions. There is no single questions which sre unanswered. I have true longing to learn vedas and Upanishads but due to rat race and only source of income i am failing to read these books. Hinduism is such a beautiful religion where it is not necessary to believe there is god. Even atheist is hindu if he follows the principle of purushartha which are dharma artha kaama moksha.

@@venkateshprabhu7027 Very Abrahamic translation in the subtitles. Also Susanna is also correct about reincarnation. After all she knows very well, how to react to videos. Our Abrahamic truth is about single life and resurrection. Jesus Christ died for our sins of one single life only. Reincarnation is blasphemy and lie.
