What is alarming is that the first thing one sees when entering the great majority of hospitals is the hospital shop with shelves full of chocolate, biscuits, crisps and fizzy drinks. It is through eating such items that many people become hospital patients in the first place. Surely there is enough knowledge in the medical world of today that these things are known to be poisoning us from childhood upwards. So by whose orders are these shops placed in hospitals?

I love listening to Dr Shireen thank you so much for sharing your wisdom . I am trying to go vegan I don’t eat much meat, but I do like to eat tuna fish at least once a month, also wild caught salmon at least twice a month is that bad? Please give me some feedback because I want to be in the best health possible at 60

Fish once or twice a month doesn't threat your health. You mentioned wanting to go vegan. Whilst ppl eat WFPBD for health, veganism is an ethical choice. If the latter is the case with you, watch Seaspiracy 🌅

Airing this on my 59th birthday, I'm healthier today than I have been in years partly due to your videos and podcasts. Dr. Kassam mentions lockdown helping her accomplish things. I'm perplexed by the mindset that leads others to complain of weight gain. For me this entire experience has meant more time to learn from you guys, more time to walk, paint, and learn to cook my own food. I went vegan (with no predisposed intention to do so) listening to you guys during this time! Recent bloodwork makes me look like I'm in my late teens! Thanks.

Start small and simple . Buy a variety of fruits and keep them on your kitchen counter for yourself and your family to snack on. Offer apple slices and nut butter for a snack instead of processed foods .....buy premade hummus and offer with carrot sticks and celery....don't let all or nothing thinking overwhelm you.

I trust doctors who use scientific studies researching food as the basis of their recommendations like Dr Michael Gregor at nutrition facts.org or Dr Joel Fuhrman. I used Dr Fuhrman,s book, The End of Heart Disease, to go from 186/86 blood pressure to 135/65, a major achievement. Was on 3 blood pressure medications, now on none. It took many months in my case but I am elderly (76 years old) and quite overweight - still working on that. Dr Fuhrman’s diet can be used for many health problems, not just blood pressure. In the case of cancer, my friend has been drinking decaffeinated Japanese tea made out of ground tea leaves which she has found very helpful

We talk of 50 years to get the message about smoking out to the public, but that took so long because the information was unobtainable for the vast majority of the population back then, it is far from the same now, we will not need to wait 50 years this time.

According to Professor T. Colin Campbell from Cornel University (where Dr Kassam got her nutrition training by the way) it is probably more around 60% to 70% of cancer that are prevented on a whole food plant-based diet. The professional information is that 10 to 70% of cancer can in fact be avoided thanks to a whole food plant based lifestyle. 40% is only a compromise that seemed responsable to this particular group of experts at that time. Again, this is according to Prof Campbell, who is perhaps the premier nutrition scientist in the world.
