Mad Roaster's owner Madeline is also a pro bono lawyer who aids refugees seeking asylum applications in Thailand.
Despite COVID-19 restrictions, she continues to offers work opportunities for these refugees in Thailand. Every cup of coffee and brioche sold at Mad Roasters marks a small step into supporting their livelihood.

What is a good story . It is nice to know there are people especially young people in Singapore are sympathetic to the refugee cause . As a former refugee from Vietnam I understood the feeling of being stateless and poor when you landed in the refugee camp or resettled in a new country . Keep up the good work and will drop in one day when I am in Singapore next time

Why not, language is just a human construct and humans set a certain standard they think is "right". But there is no right standard in actuality. American English originated from British English but now it is perceived as the global standard. The point is, there are various languages in this world and of course it is bound to change, distort and turn into something different along the way. But that's the beauty in it, isn't it?

Can understand the good intent but why refugees in Thailand? Why not channel S’porean monies to help the local causes? Like having our local special needs children to do the colouring instead? Refugees are able bodied and shud try to fend on their own, not depend on us. Nonetheless, kudos for the good cause anyway.
