Beyoncé hasn’t reacted directly to this but she’s addressed it via Twitter and she has addressed Scott and Mitch (Scomiche), who go by Superfruit as a side project from PTX...they did a Beyonce video on their own and she called it “Flawless” and posted it to her Instagram and Facebook in 2014.

Fun fact: Glee was a catalyst for A Capella to come back into the zeitgeist of the masses, then the show The Sing Off (where PTX won season 3 in 2011) and the movie Pitch Perfect in 2012, made it popular. And PTX took it from there. These Evolution videos were recommended to you to see a live performance and to verify they can do what they do live. But beyond that, musically the arrangements are very complex and PTX is known for their flawless transitions between songs. In this medley alone, they took 28 different songs in every tempo and different keys and did it flawlessly in one take, which is hard to do. My favorite of the Evolutions is the one for Ariana Grande because of intricate and complex arrangement. I hope to see more PTX!!

Pentatonix had JUST finished the North American leg of their 2020 tour and we're supposed to leave to go overseas the day after lockdown in LA. They have rescheduled the tour starting in May 2021. Before all of this they had toured constantly plus doing promo for the albums. They were pretty much on tour non stop. I wanted to tell you both that I really respect your open mindedness when it comes to music. It's so refreshing. I wish I could return the favor by listening to metal music but my nerves just couldn't take it. You all are great. Please don't forget to invite me to that party at your house when covid is over. You should checkout Superfruit’s (Scott and Mitch) evolution of Beyoncé. Beyoncé called it flawless. Pentatonix has some great evolution video’s: Ariana, Rihanna, and Michael Jackson are all excellent.

Dudes, don't call that low that Avi did a baritone. Avi is a Basso Profundo, one of the rarest voice types, the lowest, but with a crazy vocal range, over 4 octaves, so he can sing baritone if he wants, but it's really rare, incredibly rare! His substitute, Matt, is a deep baritone, which is working great, he is amazing. Only minor changes were needed. Mitch, the guy with the high voice, has another extremely rare voice type, he is a Counter-tenor, the same type as Kurt, in Glee. It means his voice is really high, he sings what a woman would sing, and he sings the highest notes in the songs, not Kirstin. But since everyone there seems to me a mutant, he also has a crazy vocal range and can sing as a tenor to, so anything from a tenor to a soprano (the highest female voice), Mitch got you covered. Pentatonix fans are usually really involved and watch everything. I don't really like Beyonce, but I watched this video multiple times in reactions and many times on my own just admiring their rendition. I would seriously keep doing Pentatonix and check how it goes. Have you done Superfruit? It's Mitch's and Scott's channel, they do lots of things, including renditions of songs, some of them very funny. I really recommend watching the frozen medley, and defying gravity on Superfruit and reacting. Pentatonix fans will follow. Kirstin is the Frozen one. Just a unique mix of talent, wigs and certainly alcohol. Pentatonix fans are obsessed and we are in quarantine in a pandemic. That's the time.

Avi isn’t a basso profundo. If he was he’d be able to project that low A. Avi is like a Bass-baritone, meaning he’s still a low bass, but when he sings in the upper register he can sound like a baritone

@@wump9066 from what I've seen a Basso profundo just needs to go to that low A#, when it isn't a more open definition, considering the lower range and the voice potency and general low sound, which Avi definitely has. I've seen multiple voice teachers calling him a Basso profundo. But I might be completely wrong, I'm no specialist, I wish.

Thaise Athayde it doesn’t have enough volume. His A is really week. Glenn Miller and Eric Holloway are good examples of real basso profundos. Avi is definitely a real bass, but not THAT abnormal

Hey I respect your lack of preference for their version of halo. They tour the entire world and they pack stadiums. PTX did have to reschedule their tour concerts for the beer bug. The evolution of michael jackson is amazing. It’s my favorite evolution video. By far. I agree that too much of a good thing is not good. Superfruit (high pitched, dark haired guy and blond guy) does a Beyonce medley. It’s just her album self titled album. It’s stunning. Legitimately. Makes their ptx evolution look a bit weak. That video is a few years later so they have developed more and they have more content to choose from. :) great reaction!

This was an early video and they have improved substantially in their arrangements and how they mesh their voices. They have perfected the crescendo, decrescendo and not singing on top of each other. Their ability to blend songs is what got them the win on the Sing Off. It's not something that was being done by anyone else. Their medley's have come a long way. Give them a chance. You won't regret it.

deep dove waaaay back to the beginning of the group. I've been a fan for so long I forget how much they've improved. This kind of sounds like Glee Club and they aren't young kids in a glee club anymore. they've grown up quite a lot I realized when I was watching this. That's probably why you didn't recognize a lot of the songs is because they were singing Beyonce songs from when they were in high school. They grew up on Beyonce and Lady Gaga. But yeah they have been dropping new music TBH and their cover of Mad World is mind-blowing to me anyway because it hit home with how I feel right now about the world I'm living in. Fun reaction! Regarding the partial cover of "Halo," it helps to recognize the memories of someone when/after they pass on than the darkness of death. Think of the halo relighting the one that has passed on. Even the original isn't really meant to focus on the dark. The song name itself implies this.

This PTX video is from years ago so (6 I think), so the songs wont be anything recent. The first several songs are Destiny’s Child songs, the group Beyoncé was in before she went solo. These videos are also single take, no cut and paste edits. There are some funny videos of when the mess up and have to start the entire thing over again. Scott and Mitch have a side group called Superfruit and they did a Beyoncé medley of her self titled album. It was incredible and Queen B herself tweeted at them and called it flawless.

I'm a Beyonce and Pentatonix fan. You should react to another Beyonce Medly by Superfruit. Superfruit is a separate youtube channel of Scott and Mitch from Pentatonix and they do a medley of all of Beyonce's songs from her self-titled album, whereas this medley was more of a compilation.
