Every member of this group is so incredibly amazing and versatile. It continually blows my mind how insanely talented each member is. I know a lot of people gave Matt a hard time when he joined, just because they loved Avi so much and missed him. Avi is incredible. There’s no denying that. But I feel like Matt may be a better fit. I feel like he’s more versatile. He has such a soulful sound, no matter which part of his range that he’s singing in. And I just LOVE when Scott takes over bass while Matt takes lead. It’s truly seamless. And Matt/Mitch harmonies weren’t something that I was aware that I needed. But, now I know. 🤯

Except...I don't think the song is about suicide. There's a video of an interview with Roland and Curt of Tears for Fears in which they explain that, according to "The Primal Scream" by Arthur Janov (which inspired the name "Tears for Fears" in the first place), the most dramatic dreams actually release the most tension. The video is here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oZWmfaGtftCeptU&vl=en. Start at 4:00 for the dream discussion. Matt and Scott's voices pretty much make me melt, too. You don't ever need to be ashamed of, or apologize for, music tears. They are beautiful tears for beautiful music. You are **feeling** that music. PTX is an absolutely INTENSE group. They know how to grab up all of your emotions at once, pull them out of you, then amplify them and stuff it all back into you. And then you have to hold onto it. Tears to music just show how deeply you feel the music you're listening to. It means the artist(s) are doing their job right, and that you have the heart to hear it and **absorb** it.
