A Difficult Session Barbel Fishing on a Dropping River

In the his video we head down to a bigger river hoping for some barbel. the river had been high but levels were dripping. This made fishing a bit more challenging, and although conditions looked generally good no bite came for a long time. A swim move finally produced!

Nice barbel from the bottom peg. There's a few anglers I know that reckon it doesn't fish as well when it's falling. I reckon it's just as bad/good no matter what.

Where abouts is this exactly? I’m from york but I can never find good spots on the river

I can't be too picky with conditions these days, so usually just go unless it's really bad.
