Well done mate, great video and very informative like a documentary. I used to catch a lot of barbel at skip bridge up by the old rail bridge when you could get to it on York side years ago, its only accessible from Leeds water now. You could never give them an inch on the Nidd, just hit and hold to get them in. I had some very big fish on at Widdington last year but lost them all...8 in total...wounded, I think 2 were carp though as I couldn't stop them getting to snags on my heaviest gear. Double boilie worked then but only had one short afternoon session so far this year and no takes, will be trying again soon.

Thanks! I fished as close to the railway bridge as I could but like you said very overgrown. Ouse at Widdington is my next target, fished it a lot over the winter but was very tough. Didn't know there were carp in there.... drop me a line if you head over there.

Epic drama! All the better for the wait! After the 1st one I bet you were walking back to the car 3 ft above the ground?, 😆 good videos, fella, I've subbed. Doing some you tube fishing myself, but not been at it long, still trying to build up interest! Keep it up!

where abouts on the nidd ? just started fishing again live in york just want some day ticket water ideas, great vids
@riverfossfishing2 жыл бұрын
This was filmed all over, I am not sure about day tickets. I would say just get a York or Leeds club membership, it would work out as the same cost as 4 or 5 day tickets and you get access to loads of the Nidd, and other rivers. Most bits of the Nidd have a good chance of barbel.
