I suppose when you are planning a big van life adventure, travelling across Europe in a rolling home that you have built yourself, you can only expect plans to change quickly! However, our simple plan to do van life Wales didn't even go as expected!
We were really looking forward to bringing you some amazing travel content from the beautiful country of Wales but unfortunately (though for a good reason) we had to drive our self converted campervan all the way home!
So, instead, it's back to van build, and working on the van doesn't even go well, AND, it's only simple jobs that need doing!
We hope these little van build changes will really benefit us when we finally start some serious European travel in 2021 and will help us stay warm if we face some cold winter van life. Lets hope that adding a thermal curtain to seperate the cab from the rest of the campervan/motorhome will keep us, and our dog and cat, that little bit warmer on our upcoming travels.
I think every vanlife couple who travel with pets worry about keeping the van the right temperature, in the hot and the cold, for their furry little van travel adventure buddies!

I’ve also got a Citroen Relay, I bought blackout fabric, took off the facia above where the cab is, and attached it to the beam across. It stays put but is rolled up and is held with straps. Bonus is it’s white on the other side so suitable as a screen for a projector 😊

It's great to see the reality of frustrating life at times. The final curtains look great. Make a cushion cover out of the spare material and use that to store the folded up curtains when they are not in use. I'd offer to do it for you if I was closer, but I'm sure Emily will work it out

We put up a curtain rail with tiny screws too and ruined nearly basically all the screw heads in them, I swear them curtain companies are teaming up with Screwfix for more sales...

This is quantum physics. A fast moving particle's position and speed can't be determined exactly. So you get three Emilys. Try visiting a house with a bunch of hyperactive kids. There is NO WAY you can count them! :-) Actually I think in this case it is time lapse photography with the vid camera, but that would spoil a nice story.

I have the same as you the curtains I had between cab I bought 4 and had them doubled up for better insulation and behind the curtains above drivers bench I hung a king size quilt above the drivers cab and was extremely warm.

Screws they give you with hooks etc are all made of cheese. It's handy to always have a box of proper cross-head screws.

HI Ladies, love the show! I'm currently in week 5 away up in Finland atm, we've been up to Nordkapp, Norway and are now taking a slow drive to Bulgaria/Turkey to have 90 days out of the Eu. I'm travelling with my dog and so had to get all the relevant paperwork to travel which as you know is expensive! While I was travelling through Sweden we stopped at the vets to get a worming tablet to travel up to Norway and came away with the tablet and a PASSPORT for her! Now that makes it so much easier to travel to and throw plus it last for 3 years rather than the 4 months the uk paperwork lasts for. Would love to meet up sometime over here so I can have a photo of you all posing by my Fanny Sticker. Safe travel's! X Richard

Another funny video, we have curtains to decide the cab and the back and I've just put another curtain to divide the living area from the bed. Great for privacy. Roller blinds make great projector screens, I have elasticated cord on our projector screen in the back near the bed so it pulls it tight. Also good for watching it while sat in the captains chairs.

Thinking of your silver screen. You might either want to put a stick inside the top of your screen or use a magnetic strip on the wall to pin it down so that it does not sag. Othervise you will have wrinkles in your movies. 🤓 Good video again. The passport cliffhanger is now killing me… 😂

Aaah the frustrations of life - which you guys handle with a perfect mix of exasperation and humour ! The finished curtains look great and give the van a really cosy feel in readiness for the colder days to come.
