The reason why Martinelli and Saka find themselves being doubled up on is because we are too slow in transition. When was the last time Arsenal scored a counter attack? We have a front 3 with blistering pace but we never capitalise well our turnovers.

As a chelsea fan I don’t understand why arteta has changed the system, you were brilliant last season and all you needed was a bit more depth in defence and a new striker to push Jesus, instead he’s totally changed the system, including even the goalkeeper thay didn’t need replacing, you look slow, the attackers look restricted, I think you’re lucky to be the points that you’re even on, deflections against city and United, relying on last minute goals far too early into a season, I can’t help but think if arteta kept the same system as last year but kept xhaka, brought in rice timber and a Toney instead of havertz, Arsenal would be winning the league

Mikel Arteta has built the team and created some from of structure.... It's time for one of these seasoned coaches to come help the team cross the line Arteta has failed to cross. Same thing with Chelsea. Raneri took them to 2nd spot in 2003/04. And Mourinho came in and guided them to the title. Some Managers come in to build. Others come in to win the league.

The stadium cost less than 300 million and we then built and sold the Highbury flats and had a 25 year mortgage on the stadium . The stadium was a significant cost for the first few few years but as Premier League revenues grew and Arsenal were able to redevelop Highbury for luxury flats, the impact on revenues became very low. Yet people used that as an excuse when Wenger spent very little and seemed determined to prove that his way of developing players without spending was the best way. Ironically, it was only when we dropped out of the CL places at the very end of Wenger's reign (and therefore revenue dropped significantly) that he started spending much more money. It should be remembered that the Arsenal board famously said around 2015 or 2016 when questioned about the lack of spending at the AGM, that they provided what was asked for. Wenger was a legend in his first decade but didn't evolve as the Premier League changed and big spending became such an important factor. He thought he could build a team his way and ultimately never built on his success of the first decade.

Said at the beginning of season will go nowhere with Raya. Watch MOTD every week and see keepers in every other team pulling off remarkable saves to save the score being embarrassing or keeping them in the game. RAyA had two saves to make against West Ham and today against Fulham. Didn't make any. Forget the penalty the taker makes the penalty good or bad the keepers get lucky. We had a number of shite keepers and then got Ramsdale and all of a sudden didn't worry every time there was a set piece. Now every set piece think goal. When teams not playing well but gets that first goal need the keeper to man up and make the saves. Fuck all chance that happening with Raya. He's been pish every game, you all forget the games where the rest of the team saved his embarrassment by getting last minute goals. Raya's shite and needs to go simple. This is all down to Arteta, when the team thinks the goalie,s not going to make the saves on the few chances the defence give away then they stop playing, it's been coming all season and it isn't going away.

Xhaka was a loose cannon but he could play at the expected technical level of an Arsenal player. Rice is basically the opposite of that. Solid enough player most of the time (can't just forget the first half of the season just because of two mediocre games) but very limited ability on the ball and can't shoot to save his life. It's completely throwing the other players off their game to have such a physically dominant player be so incompetent with the ball at his feet. Maybe time to give Jorginho a go.

Every player is out of form , very hesitant on the ball and indecisive. In my limited experience this is a sign of over coaching and I think the players are beginning to realise that the manage is over thinking it

I've been a Gunners fan since 1989, 0-2 for the title which was f amazing, take a look at what Liverpool are doin right now, they're playing in line with the fans/board expectations. What are we doing right now ? Same thing we were doing under Wenger's final years. I don't see any real effort or desire to win in the last 4/5 matches except the Brighton match ! We need a 15 match winning run till the end with no more losses along the way. Easier said than done. Can we do it ? I'm not confident at all. But my heart and support is with the bunch of lads we got. Common ARSENAL 🔥

We have this problem with Financial Fair Play to sign players in Jan unless we sell. So sell Eddie, ESR, Kiwior, Cedric. Sign a striker and get another in on loan maybe a defender if Kiwior leaves or a CDM. Jesus can deputize on wings if we sign a good striker.
