You may want to explore a set of Disney boxcars from the late 70's. Many of those can be easily found and rather inexpensive. There are a few that sellers refer to as "rare" and carry a premium price. I personally have several of the less expensive ones and that is plenty to make a nice train for my grandkids. I did not choose to get the original engine for the set and think the one you purchased would be a great engine with the boxcars. Keep these in mind for your trip to York as many of these can be found in very good condition for $25-$35. Happy hunting.

If memory serves that engine that went with the 1970's Disney boxcar series was a diesel, and if it's like the one that went with the "Spirit of '76" series it's most likely not a good puller. I've got the complete "'76" series and the engine can't pull all 13 cars SO I use a good ol' reliable steam engine to pull them! Works for me.

I have the same engine, but the TMCC control stopped working. Bluetooth/LionChief and Conventional still work as expected. Otherwise a great little engine.

Peachy, there's NO such thing as "Enough steam!" Once you go down the steam trail there's no turning back! That Disney Berk's a great find and honestly I didn't even know it existed. Looks like a great runner and smoker. Personally I can take or leave the cab talk, a good sounding whistle and bell's all I need. And I'll tell you, there's nothing wrong with semi-scale, for versatility and economy semi-scale's hard to beat. Best of luck with it, that Disney Berk's found a good home!
