as a vulture pilot myself, If I see a ship and it has its Shields up I move on. I'm not there to ruin someone else's day I'm there to clean up the universe and make a little money doing it.

shield up ship didn't mean it is not abandonned... you have to scan it to know if it is abandonned... because lot of wreck and abandon ship are shield up...

The vertical line of the default sights central to the rifle, behind your scope is where you normally want the enemy to line up unless you plan on firing warning shots. Also need to learn to lead the target. But it's just a game so have fun with it 😁

As a Vulture, I usually wait 5 to 10 minutes if I see a ship, depending on the location, to see if anyone comes back. Sometimes, I fire a few shots to trigger the player's alarm, just in case someone writes something or shows up inside. If no one shows up, then it's mine.

The Conny isn't open. Just the elevator lowered. But you can't use it to enter the ship unless you are in the crew.

I routinely find ships all the time that are abandoned with their Shields up, I usually ask in chat. And if no one claims it then I do my thing.
