+Judiescof Abbie Carmichael was a bitch and in a very good way..you can tell Harmon's character hated injustice especially when it came to women and children..i remember when Harmon first appeared on Law and Order, she starred in the season 10 episode Cherish about a young boy who went to every foster home and was molested and abused, he was adopted by a wife and husband who didn't or wasn't told of his abusive background, the wife had also given birth to a little girl, and when the couple was out of range of the little boy he abused the baby and killed her in her crib..at the end of the episode Mccoy Carmichael and the judge agreed to institutionalise the young man..even Scoda himself thought it was unconstitutional to institutionalise a young man under the age of 18.

I did an internship under an obstetrician-gynecologist in the early 1970s who saw two patients EVERY FIVE MINUTES! He had eight exam rooms, six nurses who ran patients in and out. The women were undressed and draped before he walked in. He never knew any of their names...and these women were so dumb they thought he was great! "OOh! He is SO GOOD-LOOKING!" Either I or a labor and delivery nurse delivered all his patients. He NEVER got to the hospital in time...but still charged full price for delivery!! Sometimes I hate my gender. I spent 40 years in practice telling women to stand up for themselves! That THEY hired HIM! I told them to stay dressed until a doctor introduced himself. Talk with him...make sure he knows your name and only THEN make the decision to let him examine you. Don't ever let any doctor order you around. You are equals...and he wouldn't have a practice if it weren't for YOU his patients!

When I was young and beautiful, I once had a gynecologist throw a sheet over my face so he wouldn't have to look at me. I had another fistf**k me. I had one who told me before examining me that since I was divorced I needed a hysterectomy. Maybe the women weren't dumb: maybe he was still a step up from out and out abuse.

I love the look on McCoy's face near the end of the video-- I could just imagine him thinking, "That's my girl; go get them-- kill." I think out of ALL the ADAs he's had assisting him over his tenure at the DA's office, that Abbie here is the only one who possesses Jack's same balls-out, take-no-prisoners approach as a prosecutor; I think she summed up their mutual approach once in just seven words: "Hang 'em all. No deals for anybody."

There was an episode of where a judge played by Lindsay Clouse was turned into a paraplegic by her murdering husband played by John Hurt. Harmon played her part so patronizingly and condescendlingly that I hated her more than the husband. I found her too one dimensional.

Carie Lowell aka ADA Jaime Ross was definitely the ribs girl. She played her character with some twists; a former liberal turned hang'em high prosecutor. I didn't always like her because every once in a while she'd go back to her liberal habits. That was part of her charm though because she could surprise you. The ribs and salad bit was pretty funny! Angie Harmon aka Abbie Carmichael was likeable, beautiful, very sexy and classy; just one dimensional . . sorry. I used to think that Jill Hennessee was the best and she's still on top, but Alana DeLaGarza unseated her as the top ADA in the series: She was beautiful, predatory, complex, smart, tough as Hell yet still very vulnerable with a kind of old fashioned quality . . probably because she was latina.

The 2nd time Cabot left, she was replaced by Jo Marlowe; then Sherri West; then Gillian Hardwicke. I think you may be reffering to either Hardwicke or Greylek... West and Marlowe are both blonde - but in their 40s-50s.

Most of the Carmichael fans detest her. I'm not defending Elisabeth Rohm but I always thought she got a bad rap especially when Abbie's character development was front loaded into the early Season 9 while Serena didn't get any until well into season 13(her second season) and 50-75% of her first (season 12) seemed like scripts rewritten at the last minute as if Harmon's leaving was a shock.
