Here you can see many of the steps and process of a double batch of our original
Double Feldthouse Weave!
Two Boards were made in the classic style (Purple Heart, Maple and Black Walnut) and two boards were made using a "chaos" material composed of leftover pieces from previous build cutoffs, Maple accent strips and Black Walnut background.
We have a manual + tutorial available for the Double Feldthouse Weave on etsy: www.etsy.com/l...

Why do you make this look so easy. And the fast video makes it seem like this didn’t take a week

If we showed every minute the video would be VERY long, plus we have them all consolidated and organized in our tutorials! Depending on the weave and batch size, these builds can take 1 to 2 weeks

I love all your boards so much. Have you considered doing any of your weaves with a background of black limba? I think that would be super cool with a chaos weave. Keep up the amazing work!!!

Awesome work. I’m curious if you work out your patterns on paper (or computer) or if some of the patterns come from just wingin’ it? Absolutely stunning no matter what.

Thanks so much! I work it all out on paper, definitely not winging it.

Man, you are so creative and your boards are amazing. I do have a question... does it matter how you get to the end result as long as it is all end grain? Guess I am asking if it's ok to mix face grain with edge grain in the processes of making an end grain board? Oh yeah, just watched your end grain threw a planer videos 1 and 2 and the tips on how you do your glue up helped me so much! Thank you

Because of the exposure to moisture and temperature fluctuations it's not a good idea to mix grain directions. For cutting boards I highly recommend keeping the grains flowing in the same directions

@@FeldthouseFamilyWoodworks thank you. Im still curious about this tho. Edge grain and end grain both being long grain is it a no-no to mix? Example, I have 8/4 walnut and 4/4 black limba. Making panels to be crosscut for an end grain board. Walnut face down and limba on edge, alternating them. Bad idea? I can not find a definitive answer. Obviously I am fairly new to the cutting board game.
