ALERT! ALERT!! ALERT!!! THERE IS A BIT OF MISINFORMATION IN THIS VIDEO. VERDELET DOES NOT GO BLIND AS HIS PACT PRICE, YOKO TARO CONFIRMED IN AN INTERVIEW THAT HIS PACT PRICE WAS HIS HAIR. I will still stick by my guns here, as silly as Verdelet going bald for the price of power is, it is an *objective* thing that happens to him. It doesn't really affect him as a character or person by the time we meet him in Drakengard 1, but he is definitively bald and marked by the pact tattoo on his head.

Man, I have to ask, how do you go about making these videos? The story and ideas in Automata and Replicant alone broke my little brain. How do you get all the info and context? Do you take notes as you play, or take it from memory? Also, major props for the content. I can't wait for more Taro videos, you're *criminally* unknown.

For Drakengard 1 and 2 I took notes as I played, and took footage of bits I knew would be hard to get back to/do again (Ending E from Drakengard 1, every ending in Drakengard 2, etc). Drakengard 1 I streamed a story playthrough of after I wrote my script so I could just get all the bits I needed, and Drakengard 2 has every cutscene together in a movie in the game that I went back and recorded. But generally the process has been "play through game while taking notes -> write script while watching a longplay -> replay and record footage for video." Drakengard 3 is gonna be generally the same process when I get to it, but luckily I just streamed my full playthroughs of NieR Replicant and Automata, so they've been easier to write/edit for lol

Another killer vid, loose format and all. I don't think anyone can blame you for having a lot to say, especially as a lot of those insights were literally hard fought for. Take a shot every time the damage doubles!

I would have liked to see more relevant background footage for what you are talking about at the time. You flashed the images of the seals but I would have liked to see some video or pics of them as you’re speaking about them with more critical depth around the minute mark. The flying gameplay is irrelevant here. I do get that you’re basically just venting at this point and don’t care as much for Drak 2 as you did of 1, but I’d like to see a bit more put in here to elevate the video.

I understand where you're coming from, and if the game had a chapter select I would have gone back to get the relevant footage for the video. I just couldn't force myself to play through Drakengard 2 again, especially with how lengthy it is. I think I will in the future because I'm not entirely proud of this video, and I would love to remaster it to elevate it to where I want it to be. Thank you for the constructive criticism!
