Lana returns for "Seconds," and witnesses a birthday celebration! Masterful Ricardo's not actually singing, but he gives one hell of an impression! Ricardo's voice was dubbed by brilliant Colombian singer Carlos Ramirez! His was a superb talent.

Ricardo Montalban's voice might have been overdubbed for this, but what a performance! He certainly put his all into every role he played. His real voice was beautiful, especially when he was a bit older. In Fantasy Island he actually did sing in a few episodes.

Ricardo goes back further than I knew in movies. Here he wears Pachuco pants as they used to say. The singing is similar to Desi Arnez, maybe they were trying to imitate him. "Chikc boom boom beat." Lots of Latin flavored movies back then, probably more than today.

No offense, but ... are you crazy?!?! The "display of Senor Montalban's well developed muscles" -- in this or any other movie -- only demonstrates that he's physically as beautiful as he was spiritually. The gifts he was born with, and how hard he had to work to maintain them, are PART of his charm!

I think that many people nowadays forgot how sexy men were in the 50's even when wearing high waisted/belted pants. I grew up in South America and remember the good looking men in such clothing. Oh! and how good they smelled !!

Thanks, I was listening to the MGM 45 rpm record and yes, the singer is Carlos Ramirez from Colombia and the flute player is cuban Alberto Socarras who appears in the movie

Ricardo Montalban had a very interesting singing voice. This dubbing and the display of his well developed muscles, takes away all the charm, and makes him look like a mucho macho Latin cliché lover on steroids. Sorry Ricardo. As usual, excellent video quality and sound by Indigo 1045..

Thanks for sharing who was actually singing. Ricardo could actually sing and did sing in Broadway musicals ( but not like that!). So it's not surprising to me that he could pretend to sing the song so well. This is a great movie. Thanks for sharing at least this part.

He often did, as many actors can and do have decent voices, but sometimes they just don't have that 'X-Factor' that can sell it. I think of artists like Audrey Hepburn and others who required a professional voice to complete the illusion. Right or wrong, it's the way things were done - the fantasy!
