The Claymont Steak shop, was there often 80's and 90's. Had many friends in Brookview before the renovation, going back to 1972.

Brookview used to be a little ghetto back in the early 2000’s I lived there back in 04-05 before they tore it down it was fun as hell

1:50 - Ridge Liquors. Not sure what year the law changed. But in the late 70's early 80's. It was legal to buy at 18 in Del. If we got shot down at the Bridge Tavern or Madison Grill in Chester, we'd make the trek to Claymont. Young Hooligan Delconians rarely left empty handed. -haahh. Haha thanks for sharing your memories too. I grew in the 90s and we never had to leave Chester. Kitchen 99 and Sleepys used to serve us when we were like 14 and I looked like a baby. The visual of it must've looked crazy. Bunch of bad ass little kids indeed 😭😭

Even in the early 70's, Chester for me was Eddies in Sun Village the bars near the shipyard.

In the 1950’s, Analine Village kids went to Darley Rd. Elem. & Claymont schools, but I think that kids from some of the streets were over the PA line & went to Marcus Hook schools?

Someone in the comments said the kids can chose which school they go to but I think most go to Claymont schools. Idk if that's just for high school or what tho.

Nah thats Anahiem village. I used to live there. Half the hood is claymont half is chi but the first trailer park he was in is 100% Claymont. And Chichester is worse then people think iykyk

@@OursonAaron302 Yeah AV is right off Naamans Rd near the Tri State Mall. Its not as crazy as the city but looks can be decieving in the small towns around Wilmington. I used to live in South Philly and thought the same thing. But shit does go down in certain parts. Theres real nice parts too tho.

Im not too familiar with lower DE (Middletown, Dover) but I know its very isolated. All the other towns you mentioned have good and bad parts. Even Claymont has good parts. If you have kids I'd just go off what the public schools are like. The Brandywine area is real nice. It has affordable living and great shopping and eating on 202.
