My whole family is from Camden and my grandmother lived in Cramer Hill until she had to move to a nursing home due to illness in the mid 1980's. I remember playing in the park on the corner of 29th and Hayes in the 1970's. I was still drinking in the bars along River road into the mid to late 1980's at the Silver Dollar and Connie's (Connie's in on the corner of 27th and River road and can be seen in this video). As a kid in the 1960's my mother would make us dress up for church and attend mass every Sunday at St. Joseph's on Federal street in East Camden, then we would visit her parents in East Camden. I also would play in the park on corner of Federal street and Dudley near Woodrow Wilson High School. My father, who grew up in Cramer Hill used claim that he was playing near River road as a kid when Howard Unruh shot those people along River road, he said he heard the shots and saw people running so he ran home. I really don't know if it's true but it's a nice story nonetheless.

One of my best friends in H.S.Vocational in Pennsauken was from Cramer Hill in the late sixty,all I remember was Crescent Soda building on River road the neighborhood sure didn't look like this then !

Like I said before once s dump always a dump with corrupt politicians who run the city of Camden New Jersey who failed the people as usual it’s a sad fact too for the people of Camden New Jersey , just like Gary Indiana , and flint. Michigan 😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
