I left Guyana 39 yrs. ago for T&T where I was actually born after spending 11yrs. in Guyana. It was so good to see Georgetown again. Thank you very much. I want to ask you to do more videos of different places around Guyana, like New Amsterdam Berbice where I also lived as a young child.

+SAT tsmik Sorry for the late reply , but we did stop for lunch at 1;08:00 , the place is called Marjis or Margis I think . I can remember the FOOD, it's really good, it's a creole restaurant. We had some chowmein and macaroni and chicken, fish cakes. One of our guys wasn't eating meat that day so he had Dholl and rice and bagee. (lol) The place is on Princess and Smyth streets across from the old Licence Office, you should try them out one day, you will be happy.

Saludos.... El mundo es nuestro, es de Todos!!!!

I’m curious about Guyana and considering visiting. Do you have any recommended reading sources about Guyana? And what are the primary languages spoken in the main city?
@RealNiceGuyana
@RealNiceGuyana 6 жыл бұрын
The language spoken throughout Guyana is an English based creole language , which is also referred to as broken English. You will not understand a single word, however Guyana's official language is English so we can communicate with persons speaking standard English. Here is a link en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guyana

I would definitely like to go to Guyana one day, but the crime rate does worry me, since it's not a prosperous country, so to speak.. But crime is pretty high in the U.S., so maybe it isn't such a big deal. It's on my top 10 places to go before I die, though.

About the nasty comments here-i was going to Mexico since the 90’s regularly -unlike most tortoises I didn’t just stay in resorts and think this is Mexico ! It’s your typical undeveloped country but at the same time travel to many parts of Mexico out of tourist areas and it’s worse then this same goes for Cuba ! Wow uneducated comments ! But anyways aid they are smart ! Can the corruption that has been dampened in that country -take advantage of foreign investors to help build their country they can succeed -sadly I see in other video comments were people Are angry at foreign investors but do t realize they don’t have the sources or experience to do it all themselves

Suriname and Guyana border The east-south part of Guyana, also knows as Tigri-Triangle, is Suriname ground. The river Kurini is a small river of the Corantineriver. The Guyana people call the Up Corantineriver, New River. That is wrong!!!!. The wright name of that river is Corantineriver, don't forget that. The map of Suriname you see in website map geography all over the world or online, is not the wright map of Suriname. If you want to see the wright map of Suriname, visite websites of Suriname online and see the wright map of Suriname. Suriname is ok!

Que loucura de trânsito, businam para tudo e não sinalizam para nada! É um lugar pobre mas parece ter dignidade, tudo pintado, ruas limpinhas...

Thanks for the video. But too much filming left for the area around the market. This video should have been edited. Too long and all those long waits in the traffic jams should have been cut out. Think about this next time. Guyana is surely on the upswing. This could have happened 35 years ago if politics did not intervene.

Completely agree, it looks too messy. I'm sure they have natural beauties in the country with this capital an airport, tourists won't be attracted

Queen G the guy who made those comments have all Indian videos in his save list !! It’s ironic coming from a south asian man when India has a lot of nastier places in their cities !! And he talks about inbred with all that cultures arranged marriage and honour killings !! I bred ?!? Lol he should look at Guyanese DNA results ! We are definitely not inbred people !! My own and my parents who were born in Guyana. Shows the diversity!!

+Real Nice Guyana THIS kind of bus: blogs.estadao.com.br/estadao-urgente/files/2013/07/felipe-rau-santana-600.jpg WHICH the people take to go to another neighborhood or other side of town.

+Josias Pereira Guyana does not have those kind of buses anymore. They had the TATA BUSES from India many many years ago which were operated by the Government. Now the main vehicles of transportation are the MINI-BUSES as you see at 4:00 in the video with zone number markings indicating which areas they go. These are all privately operated.
