Finished 2nd at a 24 person set championship yesterday with E/A Tempo Aggro. I learned that it’s VERY matchup dependent. I played 2 Ruby Sapphire decks my first 2 rounds (2-0 both), then 2-1 to a Ruby Amethyst control. Was able to ID to go to top 8 at 3-0-2 as the 2nd seed. Then top 8 was the Ruby Amethyst gauntlet. 1st game was against the same guy I played earlier. Lost game 1, won game 2, then somehow, some way, won game 3 on the draw and NO TURN 1. Top 4 was against one of the people I ID’d with. He said he almost played Amber Steel, which is my deck’s nightmare, but switched to Ruby Amethyst last minute. Won 2-0 both games on the draw. Championship was, you guessed it, a 3rd Ruby Amethyst of top 8. Game 1, I drew 6 of my 13 uninkables in my first 10 cards. Game 2, he just honestly out aggroed me with multiple Queen’s Castles. Overall, love this deck. Very matchup dependent, but it feels so good when you get it going.

Absolutely! I feel Ruby Amethyst is favorable only because if I'm first I feel I should win, on the draw though I still feel like I have a good shot. Completely agree about Steel song being the worst matchup, had to play 2 of them yesterday (1 Swiss, 1 top 8) managed to win both

My Fiance and I both got stiches at our tourney we attended. Top 4 were Ruby Amethyst (1st) , Emerald Steel (2nd)(Her), Sapphire Amethyst (3rd)(Me), and Sapphire Steel (4th). I played the Blue Purple deck in the 16 person tournament, R1 was vs Amber Steel song 2-0, R2 was Ruby Amethyst 2-0, R3 was Emerald Steel 2-0, then Round 4 was 1-2 also vs Emerald Steel. Top Cut played vs Ruby Amethyst, lost 1-2, then played vs Sapphire Steel and won 2-1. Was a good tournament day overall. My Fiance was the Emerald Steel, R1 she beat Ruby Amethyst 2-1, R2 beat Sapphire Steel 2-0, R3 beat Ruby Amethyst 2-1, R4 beat Sapphire Amethyst 2-1. Top Cut she beat Sapphire Steel 2-0, then lost 1-2 vs Ruby Amethyst in the Finals.

Congrats! Must be nice. Central FL has a pool of semi-pros and pros. I went to an 82 person tourney that lasted for 10 hours and I got 18th. Then I went to a smaller one and bubbled out sitting in 5th place. I want to still jump off a bridge lol I'm crushed. I was running RP for the first time too and I regret not going with my bread and butter, Steelsong. It's just too many Red/Blue were at the first one I went to so it freaked me out.

Yeah bubbling hurts a lot, the one event I was at the #1 guy on Pixelborn (back and forth )was at and I found out he followed the channel so that was cool
