Having just finished Windswept House, even without the prophecy and the story, albeit prematurely describing the process of a Pope resigning, (actually occuring only at the time of Pope Ratzinger,), one could tell this present resident of the Papal office was not of Christ, his removing all responsibility for maintaining a life aware of our sins, failures and lack all the easier to continue, forgetting the source of the Church's and necessity of acknowledging Christ's intercession. The part that Malachi did not factor in was the great rise of the TLM movement, which in the 1980s I dont think had picked up steam yet. I truly feel the TLM movement is the Holy Ghost working to bring back the church. She may stumble but she will be returned to glory. I only recently discovered the TLM, growing up I always felt something was missing about the church (without knowing any of this and being a young kid). In my 40s, finding the TLM I found exactly what was missing. It will take time to overcome the current state of the church, but I feel it will be beaten through the TLM, God willing of course.

One could put forth the argument that Pope Paul VIs refusal to condemn communism in the documents of Vatican II when asked to do so by almost a dozen bishops, in itself granted the right to all faithful Catholics to withdraw obedience from him! But infallible Catholic doctrine (dogma itself I would argue) says once a claimant to the papacy manifests publicly they are not Catholic, they can be judged! Though it's not likely a validly elected pope will ever become a public manifest heretic! It's proximate to heresy to believe that is possible! For some reason Cardinal Attaviani and Bacci glossed over the fact that the New Mass constitutes a New Rite with a capital R that infallibly cannot replace an existing rite with a capital R. Or they wrongly concluded a new Rite with a capital R can exist along side the existing Rites with a capital R. When the most they could really do is give us a secondary use rite with a small r! If you truly read thee books of Fr. Martin , the books specifically about the church , one can see he was warning us what was happening in the church. Fr. Martin timeliness may have been off a bit, but no one can deny the accuracy of all he predicted. The one thing I've notice as far back as the early 90's that when ever I mentioned to other clerics in the church about his books and what Fr.M said was poo- pood by every priest I spoke with. Amazing to me that 30 years later , Fr. M ewas100% right. So when I see people like Marshall Taylor or his buddies on utube calumniating about him truly angers me. Marshall's book " Infiltration" is just an attempt to put in writing what Fr. Martin had been preaching 30 years ago. However before Marsall wrote that book he did a utube " Can we trust Malachi Martin" , a very unfavorable portrayal of Fr.M. That utube post by Marshall and Timothy Gordon was a disgrace. At the end of the utube post put a photo of Fr.Martins grave with Kakia Livanos as if to say Fr. Martin wasn't a true and loyal to his priesthood. Both Timothy Gordon and especially Marshall Taylor have zero credibility in my view. Hopefully one day they will make a utube apologizing for that utube post. I knew Fr.Martin and to this day will defend him when I can. Once you attempt to ruin a man's reputation for your own subscribers have the Catholic justice to retract what you post by making another post of a sincere apology. I read 3 or 4 of Father Malachi Martin's books many years ago. The overwhelming aura of his works is his deep love of the Catholic Church.... so I ignore his detractors. And actually the book "Jesuits" is probably the most descriptive of the crises in the Church in that an order founded to be absolutely loyal to the Vicar of Christ became instead a hotbed of heresy all the way back to George Tyrrell, a convert Modernist, and de Chardin, an 'evolutionary spiritual fabulist', who may be the pseudo-intellectual foundation of Bergy and his boys. I credit this book for my instant dislike of Bergy on the loggia, even though I had no idea who he was, the Holy Spirit must have given me warning subsequent to being immersed in Fr Martins works expressing his love of Catholicism.

While I agree with Malachi Martin's views on the Jesuits. However, I would argue that the initial start of the deterioration of the traditional role of the Papacy began at Vatican II, and it has slowly worked its way to becoming now a more decentralized role of the papacy. I agree with Archbishop Vigano that Vatican II brings about the hermeneutic of discontinuity not only with what the Catholic Church taught and believed prior to Vatican II but also with tradition. In other words, Vatican II gave us a completely new religion and a new order of worship of which the Novus Ordo is. If there is any doubt about this, then please read The Ottovanni Intervention and Work of human hands by Fr.Cekada. Hopefully, then, you'll realize just as I did that the Novus Ordo isn't only different in being vernacular but it is a complete departure from the Catholic faith and worship.
