Keep it up"Ride on Cowgirls" y'all got it
@LuciusAugustusRex6 жыл бұрын
She wants to be identified as a Black Cowgirl, why y'all buggin. Stop hating on her identifying as black first and a cowgirl second. It's important for her to create this road for others that will follow her. Being the "first" has it's weight on someone and all those who are hating on people for calling her a "Cowgirl of Color" when the girl herself speaks about that exact topic like 1 minute in means y'all don't actually care about black people or what we have to say and feel. Stop being fake outraged.
@LuciusAugustusRex6 жыл бұрын
Did you even watch the video about the girl or are you just being outraged because you don't like it when people identify as something other than what your okay with? Beme just represented the girl as she wanted to be represented. WATCH THE VIDEO

Hey red dot, you can stay mad then. She is also a woman and spoke about that was well, did that make you mad too? Should she just identify as a human or sentient being so you can be happy?

I think this is great. Wonderfully positive story, it's good to see poc in demographics that you don't often think of as diverse. Forget all these comments saying, "why's it gotta be black?" It's the diversity and integration that closed minded people need to see.
@hansfromcongo63226 жыл бұрын
Jacob McCubbin yeah but most people do not need to be told that we know there are black people in the sport, like we do not need to be told there are white people in black dominated sports for example American football.

I feel that this video goes to show a greater diversity within races than between. While there may be slight differences between races, the differences in the individuals that make up the community/society greatly outweigh them.
@laurenfyle63806 жыл бұрын
Aren't you being a little close minded to label a whole demographic as close minded people? I think the definition of stereotyping is painting an entire group with one brush. Southerners and conservatives are not all close minded illiterate hicks just like not all Democrats are rich sjws.

Great coverage as usual. You are so top notch. Makes me want to go to another Rodeo. Love the barrel racing. Been to more than 5 rodeos while here. It is good seeing a sport that is still going and all the positive things that they represent. No fossil fuels spewing toxins in the air, Cool Announcers that have character, Superb talent that lives and breathes a lifestyle of a more rural living than all the stuff that goes on in the paved jungles where a big space is 1/10th acre where a few blades of grass can try to grow. Excellent video and reporting.

Hats off to the whole community of Black Cowboys and Black Cowgirls so much work, commitment and expense goes into competing and living that life, you ladies are all champions and keep teaching the world about the heritage of the black cowboys that were working on the rein to make this country great only to be treated like second class citizens or worse. The Buffalo Soldiers are a whole nother part of history all the children should know about just like Tuskegee. All the luck in the world to these Cowgirls and their beautiful family and dont forget dad and grandpa for busting his chops to make this great story happen. Peace and love Mickey P.

I ride horses but I ride English. I'm a Hunter/Jumper. Its like barrel racing, but with lots of jumps instead, the fastest times with the least poles down wins, its really fun. But its more dangerous than Barrel Racing. Some ppl ask me whats its like, I tell them its like I'm flying. But then they tell me they meant how do I get treated. Its ok, I do come across some people but idc cause my goal is to win.

My dad is obsessed with cowboy movies, especially the Black ones. He was from Oklahoma, so seeing Blacks on horses was natural for him. My parents, my 7 siblings, and I would go horseback riding as a family at least once a year. In California, it was quite a sight to see a whole family (10 of us) of beautiful Black people riding together. When I was a kid, somewhere around 10-12yr, I was taking horseback riding lessons, as well as playing football for the first time. One time, my mother was late picking me up from my lesson, and so we were late getting to practice. The head coach asked why I was late, and I told him my mom picked me up from my horse back riding lesson late. He told me, looking dead into my eyes, "n-eye-g-g-er don't ride horses." I was shocked. No one, especially not an adult, had ever called me a n-eye-g-g-er before. Not only that, my whole fam could ride, not just me. I told my parents, and they both dropped me off at practice. They spoke with my racist coach and they quickly educated the entire staff of the history of Black cowboys and the Buffalo Soldiers. I wanted to quit but my dad said that that's what white people want us to do, quit.
