When you're talking about trading, it reminds me of how it's spoken of in The Inheritance Cycle: The traders are a nomad group that go between towns to barter their lifestyle, so they'll show up for a few weeks each year and camp outside of the city or town they're visiting, then they'll pack up and leave. I think that would be neat to see here, as it's the best of both worlds: They show up for part of the year, but it's not the whole year, and it's not one small time either.

Thank you for the video. If anyone's interested in hardcore Medieval warfare and society (including manorialism, agriculture, cities growth, etc.) I strongly recommend Schwerpunkt's videos series: they make an excellent historical complement for the game

The Naul is looking really great! The market is a wee bit off-centred, but I like how organic the streets look, and also how organically it's evolving from a quick, productive settlement into a more efficient village. Well done again, Darren!

Been watching since you started a City Skylines series and man you're my favorite citybuilder youtuber! Not too serious and not annoying. Keep up the nice work man! 37:20 But! Not to be a jerk. People in medieval times would never build their houses at the end of a slope, but at the top😅😅😅. Just a note. Keep up the good work!

Rye has a much greater yield than Wheat. Where Wheat will have like 30% fertility, Rye doubles this for 60%.

I think the fields must be a little bit bigger, it seems like small fields where cattles graze. Yeah, the fields are too small mate.

Just keep in mind each house you setup with a back plot.. is removed from the workforce to work that alone.. make sure to have enough non plot houses to do all your jobs, then go ham adding plots to increase wealth ;) BTW chickens are better than veggies.. meat AND eggs.. and they sell for a decent amount :D

Is the windmill floating?

It's not actually floating, it's built on stilts so that it can rotate to face a different direction. You can see a sort of central pillar right under it connected to the ground which it pivots on.
