Wow. Is it just me, or do they really look alike? Lovely honest conversation. Thank you for posting. My girls grew up with their father and don’t have anywhere near this level of relationship or communication.

I stopped talking to my dad 4 years ago because of his constant relapses. I recently wanted to just forgive him & move toward, but he passed a few days later unexpectedly. I was just too late. This is incredibly special. ♥️

I’m really sorry for your experience. I hope you are proud of how strong you are and proud that you have gotten to a place of forgiveness even if you weren’t able to tell him. It’s the hardest thing in the world to decide when to distance yourself and what boundaries to draw. I hope that you can still move forward with peace because you really deserve that. Sending you much love🤍

Proof, it’s never too late to build a bond. We as young ladies NEED OUR FATHERS IN OUR LIVES. They’re So Much alike. I’m So happy for them & their journey on getting to know each other on all levels. You can see the love they have for each other when they look at each other. It’s really a beautiful thing to see. The timing happened for a reason, they have a lot to learn from each other. My father’s my best friend & it seems that is the bond they are working towards. I wish them the best! 💕

We need FATHERS. It takes effort, bond, and LOVE to be a father. Not all ppl have the privilege you have of having a father like that (not trying to be hostile bc you had no bad intention, but it’s quite invalidating and annoying when ppl who have loving fathers say stuff like that)

That's not true at all. That's a fallacy that needs to be stopped - it makes those who grew up without fathers feel less than. Children don't need fathers. They need someone to love them and nurture them - a mother, a father, a sister, a brother, a relative, a nanny. That's all.

I'm 31 and have the same dynamic with my dad. It's a process, but it's also a process when you recognize at a young age that it's better that dad wasn't in your life vs. them trying to be there.

Ahwww this is so sweet, I'm so glad that they're able to build a relationship now! I'm happy to see that they both worked on healing what needed to be healed in order for this to happen. Must be something very different, also special and unique. This was very interesting to watch! I'm wishing them the very best 🍀

Im sure she doesn't feel like he needs to make up anything from her past but all parents owe their children. Im sure if she has children, she will feel as if she owes them. And he owes her.

Why do you need to know that? Its her personal life...and probably we could knew in the dialogue, if they talk about the mother or whatsoever..... But its not the case. Sooo enjoy the talk about the reconnection between a father and a daughter!
