A Few Mornings Chasing (& Catching) Bonito!!

Hello, everyone! Today, we're doing something a little different. I'm in the ocean - chasing funny fish! In most years, funny fish show up in New England water in late summer - sometimes it's only false albacore, sometimes they bring their friends: atlantic bonito, spanish mackerel + even king mackerel. These fish are a riot to chase in a kayak. They can also be especially maddening on certain days because they have very good eyesight & will shun a full tacklebox of lures. I don't get many chances fishing from a kayak, so it's important to make a few of them count. So, come along with me, as I chase (& catch) some atlantic bonito from the kayak!
