Very refreshing for someone like me who was taught by a strict German dressage coach who didn’t listen to the horse. You make me want to build a relationship with my horse, not just ask him to do what I want. Amazing.

I've just found your channel and impressed with your horsemanship! I don't see explanations on how to do your tight turns, stop, reverse and rate with just legs. I am a beginner barrel racer and use my legs to turn but your horses are SO responsive to you. Can you explain or point me to a video? Thank you!!

This was wonderful on showing all the different moves with terminology. But, there was no instruction on HOW to do each move. This horse is so well trained and fined tuned, a person could not see the nuances of the rider movements in many cases. Example: moving the back end verses moving the front end. both my horses move their rear very easily. I am having a hard time moving the front end on ground on in saddle.

I'm laughing here. When my Daddy handed me the reins for my first mount, he gave me one piece of advice, "When the little pony doesn't do what you want her to, make her miserable. When she does what you want, make her happy." That's the only horsemanship advice h e gave. I rode for 30 years then had to move to the suburbs. Thirty years later I'm back on the farm with a new horse. Thanks for the great video.

good vid i see so many horses working on there front instead of pushing off the back end..thats where all the power. is..keeping them between you leg and your hands..and keeping them balanced and collected...ive been training horse a lot of years,,and people want it all done fast 30-60-90 days training,,and want a finished horse...i dont do that...i send them some where else ...anyway thats just me..no wiz bang training for me.. anyway like your info... and you have soft hands...so many riders try to power there horses around..yank and pull..dont work..

I don’t get to see horses unless they’re shitting over the roads here, dumping they’re potentially lethal piles for cyclists to negotiate. I watch your vids though because they’re so well made and interesting. I may even buy a horse as I have a shed I could keep it in. What do you think ? Thanks.
