As a soldier, just before the elevator gets to the top, drop your turret, then run in a beeline to the spot. Don't hug the edge, but go in a straight line, and about 70% of the time you should make it there. If you hug the edge too much, they will see you, but they should focus on your turret most of the time. hth

Years ago, I used to farm Crawmerax A LOT for myself and for friends. I rarely got killed too. But a few years ago, I tried to do it again and couldn't. His worm buddies kept pushing me off of the edge.

I've done it. To do it I recommend either a Bessie sniper, or a Skullmasher. Either will work but both are pretty rare so grind in Knoxxs armory before getting one. In your quickventory, have a corrosive, shock, and fire gun for killing crawmeraxs minions. Buy a bunch of Med Kits. Right when you get out, run to the rock on the right and do laps around it. With practice, you will get really good at this and be able to spot opportunities to hit him in the back. IT TAKES PRACTICE.

Skullmasher is my favourite for Mordecai. With full Trespass skill and everything else put into Bloodwing, one headshot usually completely refills the action skill, and then Bloodwing kills, loots and stuns everything you can see.

. . . The right part only determines the magnitude of the main effects, NOT what they are. What they are is determined by the material part. The Maliwan_1 material, for instance, will only give the default effect (Team Cooldown Reduction, for Catalyst MODs), while the _2 and _3 variants give the default in addition to the first and second extra effects, respectively. Note that a MOD can have two effects even if there isn't room on the item card. This occurs with Specter MODs. Test to be sure.

1. yes pearlescent (or cyan) weapons are the rarest and only one of each weapon type exists (note type is specific there is more than 1 combat rifle as there are more than 1 type ie burst fire is different than a 200 round lmg) 2. if you mean the equip slot, it is from the main story line, if you mean the backpack you get them from claptrap rescue missions

I have the steel anarchy, but no skull masher. I take out all his front spots with the anarchy, then fire a nidhogg over his back until i get lucky, works 9 times out of 10. Great vid man.

I'm really going to miss S&S Munitions in Borderlands 2. :S I simply adore the Orion.... Also, instead of using the leviathan, you could use any old rocket launcher and hit between Craw's back spikes to take out the back spot.

Every MOD has the standard level and quality settings, of course, in addition to the following: Look at the name. If the first digit is a 6, it gives the best skill bonuses (4 to one, 3 to the others), and lower numbers represent lesser bonuses. If the second digit is a 6, it means that the effect bonuses (+ damage, + ammo regen, et cetera) are top-notch. Less than 6 = lesser effects. If there is a zero at the end, it has at least a decent level, so it's usable. The left (cont.)

I killed it only once but using different method. I used this thing he does to make me fly high in the air to land on a high cliff. From that position, killing Crawmerax is easy. Only thing I was afraid of was the ammo depletion but it turned out I had it just enough.

I believe that was the original method for farming him, until the ledge was found. Only issue is, it’s kinda tricky to get the knockup right. I kept getting thrown off the cliff instead.

What did you expect? Did you see that pile of drops from Crawmerax? Tried doing him in for the first time today, but didn't get to the back critical -- I had another video that recommended a rocket launcher aiming for one of the spikes, but that didn't work out. Going to try the Leviathan suggestion now, but I guess I won't be able to hit anything with that; will probably just take every legendary rocket launcher that I own along with me to try out (for as long as I have rockets...)

I put over 17k hours into this game, finally found a way to communicate with others that still play, but now I seem to be the only PS3 Player left lol I can't really stand the PreSequel, the dialogue and story from 2 were outstanding, but the gameplay just doesn't match #1. No Hybrid weapons, and all of the "best builds" are the exact same weapons and gear, for each character class. End-game is almost impossible without them, whereas in the first game, the characters were strong enough with simply A-tier gear, and the "God mode" gear was there for speed and bragging rights. I hope #3 goes back to the great roots of #1, simply keeping the few actual upgrades from #2.

I dont have an xbox but if you want gear, say you cant farm the armory, the area tannis is in (Dont remember the name, been forever since i've played BL1) is great for chests, 2 up by tannis, 2 down by the spider ants, 1 by the bridge and 1 hidden by the spiderants of a cliff (all in a closeish radius), if your going for speed dont hit the 2 by tannis as they are out of the way. Takes about 5 mins to farm the chests (excluding tannis')

I've killed crawmerax dozens of times, and I eventually did get a pearlescent weapon, a cobalt tsunami. I've used siren the entire time, and have just gotten a catalyst with +2 find rare items. I hope it will help, but I've gotten no luck so far. I've all so found many other awesome guns and shields. I got a 2909 shield from crawmerax and many other guns. I use crawmerax to level up my other characters, and my friends characters. I have a 1400 sniper, but I can't find a specter classvm

A follow-up to an earlier post today. Got the Craw with an Orion Sniper ricochet off a pillar just to his right. His other parts I did with a Lightning Nemesis and then a Pearl Aries after the Lightning ran out of ammo. Never did see his back in the dozen or so attempts. Tracking down the Specter Class mod was the key and with infinite sniper rounds was prepared to camp out till hell freezes over. Very satisfying run. Being a Siren, it is tricky getting the Craw to fully expose himself without getting killed.

It’s actually easiest with the Siren, thanks to Phasewalk. You can lead all the enemies to one side of the arena, then Phasewalk to behind the pillar on the other. Slowly peak out and shoot his back, repeat. I killed Craw this way about 200 times before I found out about the glitch spots.

Either play a siren to start with, or get the beefiest shield you can find along with a capacity boosting class mod. Equip that to run to the ledge, then switch to the others when you get there

On my first ten fights, I found three pearlescent weapons. My second fight being one of them, then fight #6 and #7 with the other two. I do believe it is possible, if I could do it.

Or just farm Rakk Hive, that's how I got my third Leviathan on my Soldier. The one from the quest ended up being better, but the fact that you can get one from the Rakk Hive is comforting if you accidentally sold your others

Borderlands 2 has a lot of crazy shit. I've found quite a few odd weapons, Gunzerkers regen ammo without a mod simply by gunzerking and Ammo regen does exist but in the form of shields.

I know Im late to the party but I found another way to hit his back spot,after Im done with all his front weakpoints I go slightly right plus crouch and he will come charging at you but because he cant hit you since youre beneath him you wont take damage.After hes done with that he will turn his back and walk.This is also only capable with a siren since he will hit you with those nasty acid balls.Also when youre doing this make sure that you killed all of his craw minions since they can hit you off the edge.

You have to finish the story in the General Knoxx DLC, then this quest becomes active at the bounty board. The Leviathan is a quest drop in the main storyline, dealing with fish I think. Rakk Hive can also drop one. Good Luck!

No. Mord's Scavenger MODs can cause enemies to drop more items, mainly ammo and money. Lilith's Catalyst MODs can have "Team Find Rare Items" +1-3. They cause rarity levels of parts of guns to have higher values, which makes a difference in how good they are. Since there are many variables to it, though, you can't expect to equip one and watch a million legendaries drop or anything, but it can help a bit. Go to the wiki for all the MOD info.

I killed him with roland. I had 4 shotguns. Fire, electricity, corrosion, and a powerful one with no elemental effect. (Crawmerax has no weakness so its better to have one with more damage) I had a powerful shield which made sure I took 3 hits before he could kill me. I also had 2 different class mods. A commando, and a support gunner. The commando class mod allowed me to do more damage with a shotgun (all four were shotguns) and the support gunner class mod regenerated ammo. I also stocked up heavily on health kits. I kept my distance from him by running around the arena in a circle and killed his minions until all 3 were the armored craw worms since they are slower. (I used fire on the green craw worms and electricity on the craw maggots.) After that i just had to keep a good enough distance and shot at him until he died. If i got hurt i would use a health kit and if i went down i would kill an armored craw worm with my corrosive shotgun. It was sometimes hard to hit the back even with the turret as a distraction... because he broke it in 2 hits. Every once in a while (it seems like this happens only after i broke his eye) he would lose track of me and turn around so i could get a few shots in the back.

I think you must be doing it wrong. Do me a favor; make a Siren, max level, go test the location. Just practice Phasewalking over to the ledge and cramming yourself in the corner. Don't worry about fighting Craw or adds, just practice getting into the spot. Should only take 5 or 6 trips before you get it down. I solo Craw all the time with Siren using only purple Sniper and Shotgun. Use ledge for sniper, first shots into Craw's back. After he turns to face you, snipe all spots on front. After all front is dead, jump up from ledge into combat zone. Normal run along the wall on your left to kite all enemies to that side of the zone. Phasewalk to the opposite side and get behind the terrain. Crouch and wait for Phasewalk CD. Peek around corner, fire a sniper shot into Craw's back again. Retreat to edge of arena behind you, kite all enemies to this side, Phasewalk back to other side. Repeat process until Craw is dead. Ignore all adds, unless they spawn next to you.

Craw is a pain in the ass to kill as mordecai, have to run towards the glitch spot hoping there is no craw maggots that spawned to headbutt me in to the abyss and hopefully hit his back spot fast enough then hide in the glitch spot. Only killed him around 5 times out of hmm 30 tries maybe which sucks. Mostly fail because of those damned maggots.
