People are mad about the fast travel here, because there is none of that inbetween location exploration.

Think of all the Liminal spaces they could have created? Places to invoke a range of feelings for the player. A range of good and bad. I actually can't believe the direction they went (or didn't go with) in this game? Of all options for sci-fi space RPG ideas.. they created such bland everything. How are the environments not more interesting? The story, world more gritty & grungy darker vibes, and characters. Much better exploration and a sense of wonder. The amount of science, sci-fi, ecosystem of all sorts with a range of species and races around the galaxy could have been so fascinating to explore and interact with. There's no good stealth gameplay or any other gameplay styles besides "shoot gun at poor AI" No change of perspective and vibe when interacting with any NPC or any character or dialogue in the game.. Just so much more character could have been put into this game that had so much potential.
