Great stuff as ever, Jack. Indeed, I've wondered if there's been any crosspollination between fencing tactics and MMA, has anyone got any reading on it, or further examples of it being referenced?

There is awhole sport dedicated to it. I havent seen a super in-depth break down but I believe it's spelled Dambe. One hand is dedicated to defense while the other is dedicated to attack as if the arm was a spear.

Great work as always! Maybe it’s my own ignorance, but when will we see a fighter who can flow from a a karate style, to a boxing stance, into Thai, boxing ,all seamlessly in MMA as much of a demand on the athlete that would be it seems there would be ranges for all the common stances and styles could be integrated, into 1 fluid ever changing stance/ meta style. Will it take a forward thinking coach Lucien Carbin or is overall impractical? Just thinking out loud… I get that it’s not that simple, I’m just curious how many fighters pick a stance, and style, for a fight and they are just in southpaw or ortho
