Wow, that's such a gorgeous place, elegant, airy, spacious, warm, you've improved that neighborhood with that beauty, thanks so much for allowing to follow along, and buena suerte.

It’s beautiful. I’ve been checking back to see how everything was going. Sad to see your journey has lead you else where. We closed on ours in Centro Sept 2024 and plan to kick off renovation next year. Your stories helped shape decisions we’ve made along the way re:architect selection and overall expectations. Thanks for bringing us along. 😊

I know the time and patience required to build. I just finished mine after a 2 1/2, almost 3 year build. (By finished I mean I am sitting here doing a punch list). I also understand that feeling of arriving and immediately feeling "at home" when you walk in. You've done an amazing job. For others out there Itzimna is a FABULOUS neighborhood. I would live there in a heartbeat. Best of luck in your next journey.

I live in Asheville and we are considering a move to Mexico. We will be in Merida most of February, if the house is still on the market we would love to see it.

That’s so cool y’all are in Asheville. We are in Charlotte and Boone. We love the high country. I would love for the house to be sold by February but if not you should see it.

Is it not worth short term renting even? It seems to me that getting the money back from overall costs is extremely difficult..

I am in North Carolina. My husband and I are considering retirement in Mexico. We are first going to look at Merida. I would love to know if you would consider retirement in Merida. We have been to Yucatan several times as well as other areas in Mexico. Vacation is not full time life. So, we are starting exploration of fulltime living. I understand your job has required your return to the US.
@ahaexplore1055Ай бұрын
@@juliebarsky6761 Merida is an easy city to live in. I love the heat but it can weigh on you at times. Being able to escape to give you breaks is helpful. Also if living there full time I would get a car. The expat bubbles offer a nice community but there are neighborhoods that can offer a more authentic experience especially when you become friends with locals.

@@ahaexplore1055 I'm sorry to hear that. The house is magnificent. Will you be renovating a house in NC? Do you plan to continue YT?
@stardelАй бұрын
Very vague as to why you're leaving this home!! is something else going on we would like to know, don't want to move into a new house and there's problems with the structure, gov or the neighborhood 🤔🧐
@ahaexplore1055Ай бұрын
@@stardel work has taken us back to the US. If you are interested in the house then do your due diligence and check out the neighborhood and structure. Plus there’s a year’s worth of videos of the renovation.
