You can buy a dehumidifier for your home. It will remove all the moisture from your air. A house that size you might need one per floor.

The mini split literally uses very little electricity it's not like the American HVAC systems the Mini Splits also condition and clean the air as well as act as dehumidifiers and constantly pull moisture out of the air they're literally the perfect Appliance to have to condition your air! Being in that subtropical climate you should run your AC or at least keep it on the dry setting all the time! Those are new units so they should be well insulated but if you're having issues with your mini split not keeping your entire space at a normalized temperature then maybe look for cracks under the doors or Energy Efficiency using a thermal camera to see if maybe the windows aren't as an efficient as they could be and that's where you're losing your cool air or where your heat exchange is happening but you turning the AC off is the worst thing you could do for your Energy Efficiency it causes everything in the room to warm up so when you do turn the AC on it has to work twice as hard to cool all the surfaces back down before it can keep it even at a constant temperature where is if you just leave the small appliance on all the time it uses less electricity and less energy because it doesn't have to cool things off it just keeps them cool all the time cool and dry I know I'm rambling and sound like a Salesman but I do know what I'm talking about

Hola Malikah! Nice digs, thanks for the tour of your new home! After remote beach camping and surfing throughout Baja for over 40 years with never any problems, I fell in love with the happy friendly people and family based culture, so I retired early and moved to Ensenada from the LA/Ventura area of CA last year. Although I do have a funny story about meeting some cartel members about 30 years ago at remote point break near Punta Abreojos while camping, I feel much safer here than in the US (and I'm a blond haired blue eyed definitely white guy gringo!!) Only the cartels have guns and they tend to keep things between themselves in well known areas to stay away from whereas everyone in the US has a gun and shootings are randomly happening everyday, everywhere and anywhere you may go! Where I live is two miles from the beach and the harbor malecon/centro area, it's the busiest and most crowded part of the city. I have a car but really only use it to go to the local beaches to go surfing or to the "Big" mercados and the occasional two hour drive south of town to camp and surf at the multiple perfect point breaks near a sleepy fishing village named Camalu. I just filled it up for the fourth time since flying to McAllen Texas to the only Consulate where could I still qualify on my SS pension to get my Temporary Resident Visa and driving here from LA last November. Within a half mile of me I have everything I regularly need that I can walk or take a short bike ride to and the weather is perfect year round with low heat, no humidity, mosquitos or bugs so I can spend my days outside without the need for a/c. It gets cool enough to sleep comfortably at night with some blankets. I have a no GMO freshly harvested organic fruit, juice and vegetable stand right across the street where everything is low price, like an avocado for around $0.50us and numerous food stands and restaurants where I can easily get a tasty lunch or dinner. I walk a few times a week for lunch at a place where you can get fresh caught $1.30us fish tacos con todo and another place where you can get get Al Pastor (marinated pork on a fired spit, mmmm!) tacos con todo for $14 pesos or around $0.77us each!! I rent a beautifully furnished one bedroom one bath with all utilities, cable and internet with maid and laundry service included for $12,000 pesos per month or around $654us at todays exchange rate of 18.33 in the higher end Colonia Hidalgo part of Ensenada. It was just under $600us when I moved here. Even though my electric is included, my bill has never been over $7.50us per month! Anyone who is still on the fence and contemplating a move to Mexico to live a much more affordable, healthier, happier and safer life, don't wait or keep putting it off because the time will never seem to be "just right"! After all isn't it a higher quality no stress life what we all strive for? Buena suerte!🤷♂😎🏄🌮🍍🥥🍯

Landlord might consider putting a split unit IN the bedroom after you've lived there for a bit.

Your rent is budget friendly and it’s according to your budget. I will retire in four years and I’m making plans to retire in Mexico. I’ve had enough of the United States. My first visit to Mexico was in 2018 just for fun and I instantly fell in love with the vibe. I just left Mexico this pass October with family (third visit). I will visit Mexico for the fourth time solo for three weeks in June of 2024. I plan to ride the Maya Train and spend sometime in Merida. I hope to see you around Malikah!! #readytoretire, #myretirementjourney. Pamela Munn😊

FOR your stove rack ; try visiting a large hardware store, Lowe's, Home Depot, take the dimensions with you Call your AC guy and ask him to raise up the bottom attachment mountings maybe 2 inches, then the air flow would go straight out vs hitting you in the back. Is some adjustment with the vent flap, you can raise it up higher too You live like we do here in Brasil, we go to bed at 0100 and wake up at noon ! Totally retired ! Have rented a 1br 100 feet from the ocean for $400 a month there but bought a 700 sq ft apto and live on $600 a month !

There is an aftermarket parts store in Mexico that I will try. Home Depot said the stove parts cannot be sold separate and they can't order . Enjoy your retirement! I lived in a 500 sq ft condo in Bangkok before Mexico and that really was all I needed.
