Hello Greg ! One of the things I have noticed also just from you moving and waving the EWO and Tetherd pads around is that the Tetherd pads have no shine or glare to them , but the EWO pads do just from your shop lights so that is something you might want to bring up to them also because in the early morning sun that could give you away if you move and the deer see that bright glare !

The new EWO 2.0 kneepads will be completely vulcanized rubber … every bit of them. I’ve had a pair since this summer and have worn them every single hunt. They’re awesome, and they won’t reflect light.

Hello Greg I figured the new kneepads would be in by now and ordered a pair but these are the old style and the only ones on there site ! I would have thought after a year they would have had the new ones in stock so now I have to send them back and pay for the shipping ! SO when are the new ones coming out ? Are they going to be the same price and are they going to be called the EWO 2.0 kneepads ? I'm a little upset about this as by the time I pay the return shipping and get the other ones they will probably be close to the same price as the Tetherd ones ! @@StaggsintheWild

@@barrymartin6260 a couple things … it hasn’t been a year; I just saw and learned about the 2.0s in Michigan at the Mobile Hunter’s Expo, and that was this summer. Secondly, I don’t go to their site very often but I did see Hunter make a post in several saddle groups stating that the original 1.0s were back in stock (that’s the exact way he phrased it). As far as when the 2.0s will be available … I know they had a huge delay on the manufacturing end that was completely out of their control. I don’t know when those will be arriving now. Obviously, EWO was very disappointed in the delay; I can tell you that for sure.

@@StaggsintheWild I was basing the time frame on the date of your video and didn't realize that you only found out about the new ones a couple months ago ! I got these ones off there website and it didn't say 1.0 or 2.0 but it did say instead of being like the original green they would be brown and that's why I ordered them as I thought they were the new ones ! I just sent them a message and ask about them so I'll wait until I hear back from them ! I wish I would have known you just recently found out about the new 2.0 because I would have waited to order them ! No harm ! No foul!

Thank you for making this video, I have been looking for some good knee pads and just got some Timberline from Midway for $29.99 but now will take a look at EWO knee pads. appreciate the work

Great review as always Greg! I also purchased a set of these. I'm going to experiment with putting little dimples of 3M rubber body adhesive on each of the extruded shapes. The stuff is amazing and I actually repaired a set of ripped rubber boots with it 4 years ago that are still completely waterproof. I hung up the tube and a little leaked out onto a dusty metal shelf and created a "hershey kiss". I couldn't rip or remove it with a set of pliers. We shall see but I'm feeling optimistic.

That sounds like a great fix! I’ll have to look into seeing where I can get some of that.

Curious if you have an exact product from 3M that you are referencing because that sounds like an excellent idea if the price of that product isn't too much.

Sir, it's like looking into my future. I keep accumulating saddle hunting stuff, but I am in the market for new knee pads.

I have had a lot of knee pads over the years being military for over 21 then military contracting another 10 years my favorites were the Alta carry in and put on or arcteryx for wear all the time. I just bought the Tethrd and really like them but definitely wish I would have waited. I love EWO and would rather buy from them for any and all products they are such a great company.

First Lite CORRUGATE FOUNDRY PANT. Easiest and best option IMO. Especially if you lean/sit in combination.

Where do you buy ArcTerYx knee pads? Everywhere I look they want proof I am active military or LE.

Interesting!! I bought some at Walmart that had the hard plastic and that dog didn’t hunt. I definitely want rubber but the price point is good. I hope the feedback to add rubber is considered. Thanks for the insights👍🏻

Great video! I'm new to saddle hunting and definitely will be getting a pair ! What do you recommend for a backpack that I can strap on my platform and sticks ?
@StaggsintheWild2 жыл бұрын
I’ve been using the Trophyline Palisades here recently and it’s a very nice pack. If you want to save a lot of money I’ve also used $30 packs from Academy Sports and used straps like you’d hang a trail camera with to hold the sticks on with very good results.

I've watched most of your videos and use a lot of the methods you have talked about. One thing I haven't seen anyone use is a second stick with the one sticking method. I would like to talk to you about it if you have the time. Thanks.
@StaggsintheWild2 жыл бұрын
Second stick or second platform? I have a video in the pipeline coming up soon of showing some options including pairing a standalone platform off to the side once you reach hunting height … if you’re referring to using a second stick to climb with, I see no need for that - even though I’m aware some people do it.
@nathanrains36682 жыл бұрын
@@StaggsintheWild yep a mini double step stick with a three step aider. Ultimate One stick starts as high as one can get it. Standing on that the hang mini stick low enough to easily step into and remove ultimate one stick and climb to the top of mini and as high as the first time hand the ultimate one stick. That will have most people at 20ft. without inch worming up the tree. It takes less effort and quicker and quiet. With the cost of about 1 1/2 pounds . Always moving tether up as you go and then rappel down. Maybe not for everyone but older guys that are not in the best of shape and low mobility can use modern lite weight equipment efficient.
