Thanks for the review! Out of curiosity, how does this boot compare, stiffness-wise and fit-wise, to the TLT8 Carbonio? Thanks.

Hey, great review, how does this book compare to the scarpa f1 series of boot?

The TLT X aims to compete with the F1 LT in the sub-1000 gram category. The F1 LT has a carbon/grilamid shell and that makes the boot very stiff but it also makes the stiffness of the boot not very progressive, i.e. it feels like you hit a wall when you flex forward. The TLT X has good lateral stiffness but is pretty soft with its forward flex. Dynafit also has the Blacklight boot which has a carbon cuff and is more similar in flex to the F1 LT. Compared to the normal F1, the TLT X is lighter and more minimalist but will have a more similar flex.

Haven’t had a chance to try on a pair yet, how would you say the fit compares to the tlt8? Or to the Hoji pro tour? I have a wide foot that’s pretty flat, with a problem area/old avulsion fracture at the very back of my fifth metatarsal. My Hoji pro tours work pretty well after I punched the navicular and Jones fracture/avulsion fracture area, but looking for something on the lighter end for ski mountaineering/traverses!

they should be pretty good considering theyre as wide if not wider than the radical pros. i haven't met anyone with wider feet than me yet in my life. i cant fit into scarpa, arcteryx, or solomon at all for running and hiking boots at least. i briefly tried on the radical pro although in one size too big so this may have had an affect on this but I found it to be comfortable right of the bat
