Yes, I agree 100%. Once they release their WiFi 6 AP and a network switch, I'll be looking to do a full stack video. I'm planning to do a mixed stack video with the Protectli, an Edgeswitch, and a GS AP.

If possible could you pls. advise the difference between the 7610 and 7615 AP?
@QuikTechSolutions3 жыл бұрын
Hi Sebastian, great question. Both APs are very similar. The 7615 is a Wave 2 device that support Multi-user MIMO, the 7610 is Single-user MIMO. The 7615 has beamforming technology, which means the AP will attempt to locate the client’s position and send a direct beam back to the client. The 7610 does support 250+ clients, while the 7615 supports 200+ clients. Hope this helps. Have a great day!

Thanks for watching. All depends on the size of the home, floor plan, number of levels, construction materials etc.

Assuming the walls are made of wood studs and drywall, I’d go with one centrally located on each level.

Hello, very interesting video! But I have a question. I can't change channels manually, only auto and dynamically assigned by rrm, why is that? How do I change wifi channels?
@QuikTechSolutions2 жыл бұрын
Hello Nikolas, thanks for watching. You should be able to change channels under Access Points>Configuration, then select the access point from the list and hit the Edit icon to the right.

Hello, I have configured 4 extensions (100,1001,1003 and 1003). I want extension 1000 to be able to call the other extensions. However, the other extensions (1001, 1002 and 1003) can no longer call extension 1000.

@@QuikTechSolutions Thank you very much for your feedback. My concern is to restrict the extensions (1001,1002 and 1003) cannot call the extension 1000. On the other hand, the extension 1000 calls the other extensions. This is what I want. So I ask you to show us how to do it

Can you managed the remote office APs using once of the AP as the master controller? If you can, what is the method of adopting the remote APs?
@QuikTechSolutions3 жыл бұрын
Hi Karlo, Thanks for tuning in and commenting. For this type of environment you're better off using gwn.cloud for remote office management. I'll be doing a video on gwn.cloud soon. Please subscribe, share, and give the video a like. Have a great day!

@@QuikTechSolutions I'm not a big fan of cloud controllers. Would the on prem software controller, can manage remote office APs? I checked the docs, but couldn't find any info regarding remote office wifi management. With unifi, this is very easily done, but I'm not sure with Grandstream. I use Wireguard between my remote sites for secure tunnel connections.
@QuikTechSolutions3 жыл бұрын
I haven’t actually tried this but with the VPN in place the on prem would work. I did check with my buddy Willie Howe to confirm. He’s deployed a lot more GS fear than I have. Have a good night.

Hi Pedro, since I couldn’t secure accurate pricing, I opted not to keep the video focused on an intro to the device. However, to give you some parameters, the GWN7610 sells on Amazon for $105, and the GWN7630 sells on Amazon for $120. So, hopefully this will give you some grasp of Grandstream’s pricing structure. Thanks for tuning in. Have a great day!

@@QuikTechSolutions Ok Thank you, the price is actually good for the device features, especially having into account we don't need to buy a controller.

@@QuikTechSolutions YesI saw that I have the Unifi6 Light and I get better speeds from mine than the ones you show on the video ( Maby because I have HE80 selected on the 5Ghz band ), however, speed is not the most important feature for me, the range is what I'm looking for as I want an AP for my parent's house and is a Big house. This one not having a controller is already a very good candidate, thanks once again for your videos.
