A Flying Visit Over Nazca 🇵🇪 Backpacking Peru Travel Vlog

BACKPACKING PERU 🇵🇪 EPISODE 7 📍NAZCA
Nazca is home to the famous Nazca lines. A series of geoglyphs thought to be thousands of years old. You can see them from the ground but the best way to see the formations is by taking a short scenic flight over the desert and seeing them in their full glory. So that's exactly what I did. I arrived off the nightbus from Cusco at around 6am. I got myself freshened up, took the flight and then had a bus out of Nazca to Ica in the early afternoon! It was a fleeting but fun visit!

Is travelling solo safe? - I would argue the answer is almost always yes! As long as you use your common sense and you follow your own government's guidelines about travelling in that country. I have made several videos on backpacking safety on my channel.
Do you have plans to settle down? Yes, I'm currently saving to purchase my first property in the UK and I'd love to have children one day. I doubt I'll ever live a completely 'conventional' lifestyle by society's standards though, as I often have my own preferred way of doing things.

I took that same flight tour in Nasca in 1998, and it's still one of my favorite moments of my life. Looks like Nasca has really grown up since then too. May need to return and do it again next year.

i flew in one of those teeny planes in the whitsundays and got the copilot seat. the pilot told me i wasnt allowed to play with any of the buttons haha. very jealous of your trip so far, it’s definitely made me want to go to south america

100 usd for the flight?? Omg that is ridiculously expensive! I'm going to Peru later this year for the third time, but I haven't been to Nazca yet. And overall everything was so cheap except machu picchu! I'm from Brazil and prices here are similar to Peru, and 100 USD is way too much for such a short flight 😢

We are traveling to Peru for the 3rd time next week; my wife is from Lima. We are considering doing the nazca lines flight with her friend and the kids, but I’m concerned about safety. Did you feel in danger at any moment? Did the pilot seem coherent and the plain well maintained? I have never flown on a small aircraft and I’m not sure how I feel about flying with a pilot that I know nothing about and with a company that may not be well regulated.
