Hi! Thanks for the great video. I am hoping to visit this region in late June or early July. Are you able to share where you found your driver? Sounds like he was a good choice. And you didn't have to worry about driving!

Very happy you enjoyed the video. We think their food and wines are arguably the best in Italy.

What a great video of your experience! Really enjoyed it. Iwas just wondering why you mentioned barolo’s in the old style with ‘no oak’. You mean they’re aged in traditional botte?
@TheCulinaryCrusaders21 күн бұрын
Apologies for the late response. Here’s the explanation: “Traditionally, Barolo is made with a long maceration*, extracting large amounts of tannin into the wine. Often, traditional maceration takes place for up to 30 days. The wine is then traditionally aged in large old barrels - often made from Slavonian oak, ranging in size from 5,000 - 10,000 liters. This results in practically no barrel flavour, but slow oxidation of the wine.”

thanks for this video. we're planning at trip to piedmont for next year may and your video is a good guide on where we can visit and dine at. may i ask, did u stay also in piedmont? i'm uncertain whether to stay at barolo, alba or la morra.

Happy you liked it. We stayed in Turin. But if you want to be in the Langhe, we would suggest Alba. It’s big enough that you have things to do in the town itself.

Great video! would you be willing to share What the cost was to hire a private driver?

Yes ofcourse. It was Eur 550 a day from memory but I’d just contact him to get a quote. He’s very nice to deal with.

Really enjoyed your video! We are visiting Turin for 5 nights the first week of September. Would you recommend a 2 day wine tour like you did or would one day be sufficient? We will reach out to Georgio but wanted to ask if he assisted with setting up all the wine tours or did you do that yourself?
@TheCulinaryCrusaders5 ай бұрын
We’re happy you enjoyed it. 1 day is enough if you just wanted a taste of Barolo and Barbaresco. It depends how much you like wine. Giorgo did offer to organize the whole tour for us but we also had a few wine brands we wanted to visit so we did half and half.

Thanks for your response! We plan to hire Georgio for a one day tour. He said he’d book us 2 winery tours - one in Barolo and the other in Barbaresco. Any you recommend that are a must?

If I can only make 1 recommendation, i would say have lunch at Buon Padre 😊

As usual many americans, after seeing this video they will think we are talking about Tuscany....😬😢😢😢

We actually enjoyed the Langhe more than Tuscany.

Agree! you are made anexcellemt job but "Common americans" dont think tooo much about these "Details" so if a land is located in Italy, has great food, wines, truffles, meat, hills & great landscapes, obviously MUST BE Tuscany.... Without any doubt!!!....Like Alps, there are in Switzerland...NOT italy!!! (according a my american friend...😢)
