In example, by sending increasingly powerful waves of invaders into the galaxy until we can't defeat the amount of invaders we'd have to deal with. We'd then get a very high score pending on how many of their fleets we destroy before they overrun the galaxy.

Interesting! I dont think it would be the Hunters, since there isnt anything linking to them at all. The Cybrex or Contingency might seem like a logical choice, but you can meet the Cybrex and they talk quite a lot less agressively. The Contingency also doesnt seem too likely, since neither Cybrex nor Contingency used fallen empire shipsets. I think it is much more likely to be an entirely new threat, perhaps one we have never heard from...

I always wanted more endgame crises. I always thought that they could add crises based on the dlcs like: Nekroids: a giant force of undead ships and soilders emerge from a ancient battlefield lead by the undead leader from a empire that had been destroyed during the game. They also have fleets from any other empire and midgame crisis that had been destroyed. They dont get any new fleets, but when ever they destroy a fleet they gain some of its ships. Aquatics: the dragons that you see around the galaxy are not actually extinct, but rather after the galaxy collapsed they went into hibernation since there was not enough food anymore, but now that the galaxy is filled with live again they awaken. Humanoids: (since it has a lot of fantasy stuff) a dark lord has emerged and claims to free the galaxy by conquering it. The dark lords main fleet is indestructible until the dark lords artifact is brought to where the dark lord first emerged.

After successfully investigating the archaeology site 5 options are displayed. Unless option 2 is chosen, there is a 50% chance that the Unbidden can spawn prior to the endgame start date; if so, every 5 years there is an 80% chance for the crisis to trigger, with that chance increasing significantly after the endgame start date.

Prethoryn- Tyranid (40k) Unbidden- Devidian (Star Trek) Contingency- Reapers (Mass Effect) You would almost have to think that a fourth crisis would be another sci Fi universe Galaxy worthy threat; like a sentient plague, like the Flood. Maybe with the new crisis a new fallen empire, a militarist fallen empire that sits at the edge of the galaxy. They act as some sort of guardians and don’t awaken, but they have far more powerful fleets than the other empires. When this new crisis spawns it goes into red alert and acts as the deterrent.

I wonder if why might be getting multiple new end-game (or maybe post-endgame?) crisis. Both the Tiyanki death world and Ultima Vigilis seem to hint at something dark coming, but the two seem too different to be referring to the same thing. The Tiyanki Death world would seem to point to a necroid/biological-assimalation crisis, while Ultima Vigilis seems to point to a synthetic (and fourth-wall breaking) one.

What if it also allowed more fluid crisis by merging some of them to interact? Imagine you have the Scourge and somehow call the Hunters who could maybe possibly act as a ally under certain conditions or initiate a scorched earth tactic on the Galaxy. Maybe both the Scourge and Hunters arrive at the same time and you have to operate between them possibly trying to align/submit to one or try and combat both. What about throwing other crises into the mix?

I also thought it could have been the Hunters. However, the machine design made me think of the Contingency, UNTIL that last part. Lore wise, I don't think it could be Hunets, as the Preythorian, an endgame crisis, are running from them and claim they have no hope to defeat the hunters. If it was then, I feel they would be something more akin to the "End of the Cycle". A situation you cannot win. Guess we will see what they do on the oncoming expansion. Nice vid!

This is a pretty cool thing they added i had no idea it was there. I remember seen a weird far away system but mi visibility of the galaxy at the time didint allow me to confirm it was not tied trough a hyper lane, and i assume it was just one of those odd systems that often poke outside the galactic circle shape. Just in case some paradox folks are reading comments here, please buff the gateway origin. Its a great idea but it has little beneffit. Add some more things to it, it has a big RP potential.

I think it just adds more interactivity to existing crisis. If a fourth crisis was just yet again a galactic invader, it would be pretty boring a lazy. If more end game crisis are added, I sure hope they provide new challenges that aren't "spam ships at them til they die". It's also a proof of concept. It could definitely be the Hunters from which the Scourge is fleeing. I also think it's linked to the Enigmatic observer, which would mean this crisis was planned years ago. It must be huuuuge content. Imagine if it really is the Hunters, I'd like a possibility where the Scourge shows up few years after the Hunters started their campaign on our galaxy, and they offer us a temporary cease-fire to fight the Hunters or the Hunters decide to focus on the Scourge first, giving you an opening in their defense. So many possibilities.
@theswarmsquad36062 жыл бұрын
It’s probably a contingency/cybrex thing, since it has the contingency corruption and it’s heavily eluded to that the contingency/cybrex have serious presences outside the galaxy, and the cybrex use fallen empire ships. I hope you’re right, but it feels like it’s a contingency/cybrex thing.

The new Endgame Crisis could very well be something resembling Fallen Empires. An Intergalactic Empire that still claims the Galaxy Stellaris takes place in as part of it's territory. Keeping a Surveillance Post just barely out of sight to make sure everything is in check. It could also somehow add the existing Fallen Empires into the mix? Former subjects of an even more Ancient Empire.

Interesting. A technology locked system that can hard trigger a specific crisis does sound interesting for sure. And, correct me if I'm wrong, the three types of crisis we have now seem to loosely correlate with the three ascension paths of biological (the scourge), psionic (the unbidden), and synthetic (the contingency), so if they're planning on having a fourth ascension path in cybernetic, perhaps this new crisis could be themed around that in a similar way with the caveat that you have to manually trigger it by yoinking the entire system.
